@@noyou113 The Vikings are on a Bye week the week before their game with the Jets, giving them an extra week to prepare. The week before the Vikings play the Jets, the Jets play on a Monday Night (10/14 Jets vs Bills) giving them a short week to prepare for the game on 10/20 Jets vs Vikings). The best part is, when you look back it makes sense that we are this good. Last year Flo didn’t have the pieces he wanted, now he does. KO didn’t have a running back, now he does. Last year we had an overpriced mediocre QB, now we have a cheap decent QB. Everyone talks about how we have the best roster and yet Vikings fans think we’ll lose every game. Why? Coaching is good, roster is good, season is good 👍🏻 obviously injuries could ruin shit but on paper the 4-0 is about as real as it gets

It's the underdog mentality -- at the start of the year; NO ONE believed the Vikings had a chance, The sports media basically called Darnold dog water, Tua cried about how terrible B.Flo was to him, Zimmer aired his laundry. Heck, everyone was saying the Chicago Bears (LOLOLOL) were a better team. The Vikings took the underdog status and COMPLETELY ran with it. The Vikes are VERY talented. SKOL.
@A-small-amount-of-peasАй бұрын
For fun I put a small bet on the Vikings at the start of the season and got odds of 100-1 for them to win the SuperBowl as soon as JJ Mccarthy was out for the season and so many media outlets thought we had no chance without him but Vikings fan knew that Sam was always gonna start this year and honestly I knew enough fans at every team he's played for who thought he definitely had potential and I knew the rest of our starters were solid so I thought why not? As of time of writing they are offering me 3 times my stake if I want to cash out now as the odds have shortened to 12/1 If he can stay healthy all season I seriously don't think there's a team the Vikings should really fear, The Chiefs look shaky this year so it's definitely possible and our defense is starting to approach elite status. Even if I wasn't a Vikings fan I think most neutrals would want them to win one as the older fans have suffered so many false dawns I'm hoping this team just comes out of nowhere and finally breaks the curse. Would make a great story

I think the Vikes are for real. I only have one concern. I watched a clip with, I think, Ryan Clark before the GB game. Clark talked about that the way to expose the Purple Haze was to use the pre-snap and cadence to force the Defense to commit to showing who was blitzing and who was flowing back into coverage. Once the defense commits, the QB can make protection adjustments. If that works, the pressure is negated and the Vikes are susceptible to coverage mistakes. Love started using his cadence like Clarke had suggested in the 3rd quarter and GB started getting big plays. Hoping it was just a fluke, and I trust BFlo to make adjustments, but am highly concerned the defense got exposed in that 2nd half.

The one thing people need to realize is how important the RB is in the receiving game in today's NFL. The Vikings have play makers at the RB position. And another thing, like they mentioned, pump the brakes on the SB talk. The Vikings are playing well and looking good, minus a half vs a Good team in GB. They held on and were rather lucky because of GBs kicker missing 2 field goals. The Vikings coaches need to keep the pressure coming and run some plays as if they are behind instead of going into "snooze mode"
@ZimpedАй бұрын
Can you imagine the sorry Jets offense doing anything against the vikes? I can't.
@robe2504Ай бұрын
Or the D. I honestly think this could be a demolition. The Vikes could get 20 point up, and after last week, keep the foot down. Everyone might leave London talking more about the Jets starting to drop out of contention, Rodgers impending retirement and Saleh's seat getting real hot. The Jets host the Bills in week 6, visit the Steelers, then go on the road potentially as a 2-5 team to a Pats team that might be getting healthy again. Even if they beat the Pats, they host the Texans the following week. The season could get away on the Jets pretty quickly.

With there being 7 spots, that seems likely. Vikings are still the most suspect out of those three, and I say that as a Vikings fan, Sam Darnold has been great but 4 good games does not a great QB make. Lions are right now the strongest of the bunch, but I say that tentatively because they e feasted on an overconfident, over achieving Seahawks team, but have struggled with everyone else on their schedule. Packers have the problem that the Vikings have had for the last few seasons in that Kirk Cousins is their quarterback. Yes, I think Jordan Love is just Kirk Cousins
