I’m gonna high/low this. Best case scenario I see 12-5. Sam Darnold or JJ go off and we mess around and make the playoffs. Worst case scenario 4-13. I know a lot of people think this is too low, but if it’s a hard year and we’re a bit unlucky it’s not impossible. It’s not the worst thing either because I still think we’re gonna be great in 2025 and a higher draft pick won’t hurt us. (This is not an endorsement of tanking by the way)

I've been SOLD on JJ since his freshman year here at UM. I expect him to sit most of the year. But I'll also say this... He plays winning ball, and nothing he does this season will surprise me, at all.

I think JJ will be one of the best QBs in Minnesota. I think he's extremely underrated n with being able to run with Jones plus his versatility, i believe he plays well enough that we franchise him n I'm excited to see this season get started!

JJ McCarthy is better than most give him credit for. It's going to depend on how he comes along. How he handles the rush. Small moves or scrambling. Rolling out. His protection to give him just a little check down time. He's a winner and he LOVES to win. Give him just a little time to learn and watch out.

Currently their schedule is ranked the #4 toughest. I'm guessing they'll end the year under .500, around 7 wins, with JJ making his 1st start around the Colts game. All of this depends on how they come out of the gate, those first 6 games are going to tell us a lot and MN defense will be much improved even with the loss of Hunter. The Vikings window should open next year once they lose Kirk's dead cap hits as well.

i think i am the only person that knows a a ron jones is a 30 y.o rb. i'm more excited by ty chandler that dude is shifty and deserves a chance to be rb1 he was the only rb that could do anything last year with a weak interior oline we need a bulldozer at center for that last 2 offseasons we needed an upgrade and nada. short yardage situations have been weak 4&1's 4th and goal from the 1 we get crushed. i say 10-7 record for this upcoming season.

I feel everyone's expectations are way too high. While we always seem to have a solid team and are capable of beating anyone, adding two players to positions we lost proven starters does not automatically mean we are going to be better. I realize we added some free agent players as well, but we have no clue if McCarthy is going to be a day 1 starter, play later in the season, or just a career bench warmer. I have high hopes for the team, but my common sense tells me not to expect too much until we see how our new players actually perform in the NFL or fit into our teams scheme.

WRONG ON THE RUN GAME..... The problem isn't personnel. It's play design and concept. Ty Chandler is a hidden gem. Emmit Smith quickness through the hole and an excellent receiver. However, his blocking needs work. But that's where design comes in. KOC has little imagination in designing a run game that attacks the width of the field or utilizes fakes and screens and misdirection. Not to mention quick hitters where Chandler could be past the linebackers before they know it WRONG ON THE RUN GAME IT'S KOC that's the problem. Not the personnel

@Chunkyb5144 ай бұрын
Ty Chandler is a beast. You’re exactly right. We need to actually utilize him. KOC gets too pass happy and it’s his downfall as a play caller. If he utilizes Chandler and the run game, this offense can be unstoppable. Maybe having a young QB that needs to develop will help him recognize it.
@Chunkyb5144 ай бұрын
@@freewayfloaterMattison was butt cheeks. Everyone that watched the Vikings knew Chandler was substantially better. If he actually utilized Chandler, the run game would have been much better. Mattison reminded me of Trent Richardson. He couldn’t see a hole at a strip club.
