SYNOPSIS
In the Oak-dotted countryside of Southern Portugal lies Tamera Healing Biotope, one of Earth’s most radical social experiments in human futurism.
Tamera began in the “free love” utopian movements of the 1960s’ and 70’s, and however soon realized that the necessary social change had to run deeper then reactions to the dominant system. Tamera realized that at the core, regenerating trust - especially in the most intimate areas of human life - was the missing key to long-standing cultural and political change.
Now, over 40 years later, in an era of rampant climate chaos, post- global pandemic, and mounting political unrest - where humanity’s survival into the 22nd century becomes increasingly uncertain - Tamera may provide a regenerative model for a post-capitalist society, rooted in reconnection to life.

"But Why is Love the Goal?" When asked this question, Thomas Campbell (former NASA Physicist, consciousness researcher, and author of the My Big TOE [Theory Of Everything] trilogy) responded with an allegory of two villages: "In one village, all the inhabitants are loving and considerate of the others’ feelings and needs as well as their own. They see themselves as members of the whole and they are motivated by a love for others. In the loving village, people willingly help each other, and therefore trust each other. Any progress, helpful invention or innovation is shared freely and everyone benefits. "However, in the other village, all the people are selfish. They do not care about others’ feelings and think only of meeting their own needs at any cost. They see themselves as separate from the rest and are motivated by fear. In the selfish village, people see themselves as being in competition with each other, and therefore do not trust each other. Innovations or inventions are seen as just another resource that must be accumulated, stolen if needed, hoarded, and also protected. This mindset creates the illusion of scarcity instead of the reality of abundance. Everyone in the selfish village lives in constant fear that a neighbor might steal their supplies. They then perceive an additional need to protect their stores from everyone else and even arm themselves. This requires dedicating more “scarce” resources for weapons and security. This is a dystopian dog-eat-dog scenario and the outcome of every game of “Monopoly” is the same: the most powerful will eventually end up owning and controlling almost all of the resources. They will continue to live in fear behind the high walls of their fortified compounds, while the vast majority are left to fight amongst themselves for the basic necessities of life. "Evolutionarily, only a system with less fear and more love works in the long-term. All fear-based systems are inherently self-limiting in the long run." I'm really looking forward to the release of the documentary and for Tom's idea of "unconditional love" spreading throughout the world! ❤

Ain't that the whole question, how to come out of the vicious cycle of mistrust towards a loving biosphere that enlightens all inhabitants without the risk of losing a control-competition by not taking a manipulative stance?

It's one thing to select some ground in a warm climate, then have a few dozen like-minded folks join in and create a village. Findhorn did this decades ago. The commune culture did the same when draft dodgers and hippies migrated to various provinces in Canada, building geodesic domes, growing veggies and enjoying free love, spreading flowers. The Stop The War in Vietnam movement sprang forth in combination with this. However, the real test is how the cities will devolve. When the human is reinvented at the species level, joining the galactic federation of souls, beings and other intelligences we may have an opportunity to co-exist with the natural world from whence we cannot take our next breath This will mean investigating how we exchange ideas, goods, foods and anything else. Old ideas such as private property, patents and personal profit will of necessity have to go. What will come next can only be built not by cults and strong leaders, but, by awareness through consensus with conscious people, who have seen through the propaganda of our system whether state capitalism or techno-feudalism, where most are simply vassals of that ilk, as with the billionaire monster companies that rule by inverted totalitarianism vide: Sheldon Wolin. Now to the full-featured film.

Thanks for placing your thoughts here for readers to ponder over. I too have travelled extensively. the dominance of patriarchal culture whether urban or rural is so pervasive as to prevent and wholesale country wide acceptance of other ways, any other ways.@@nelsonc7368

This trailer taught me that if you add nice background music you can make the most messed up story seem wholesome-even if it’s a delusional nightmare that ultimately harms the most vulnerable, including children. All humans suffer from some level of confirmation bias so even cults try to make themselves seem utopian. My guess is that the cherry-picked images tell a different story than the messy day to day reality. But I could be wrong, and I hope they are happy and thriving.

I don't get why some people see a loving community and immediately have to cry, "cult". It's a shame. You're not helping the cause.

This looks like the makings of a cult. Have all of your desires and fantasies fulfilled and then someone will begin to control when, how and who is a part of your life and who isn't. Good luck with this.
