My dad retired from firefighting after 30 years. Youngstown Safety Forces earned the "Fickle Finger of Faith" award for being the first safety forces in America to go on strike 🤣 Unfortunately, from then on, communities learned to separate their budgets (safety forces) from the general budgets to pass levies. Sad! Just like school systems, the more they raise, the more they take from the original budget, and a lot of the times the departments are left with less than they had prior! I've known various politicians, but never met an honest one!

I too have noticed there seems to be more illegal activities in the Spanish Springs area. Of course crime can happen anywhere.
