I really like the community our parents moved to on the water when they retired. That community on the water has 5 community areas (4 beaches, ,4 boat ramps and the fee as of 2021 is $100 a year all ages are welcome. They always kept busy and had lots of friends in the community and county they retired to. Does Florida also have these type Communities where resale houses are in range of prices and are built by multiple builders so the neighborhood has more character vs where just a few builders build cities? The population in the Villages are larger than multiple cuties that are in the Maryland suburbs and Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington DC. Example Gaithersburg Maryland was founded in the 1800s and just recently with all their expansion over the years and all the amenities and the population is currently approximately 60,000 in the 1990s was 50,000 and there is a Mayor and Council and all departments and we have our own police department. Our HOA fees are $85 taxes on houses are approximately 2800. Just seems odd it's more expensive to live in so many of these places vs the Washington DC suburbs

Can you add in your overviews the sq foot and number of bedroom/bath and pool hot tube option. I find these vary from every 55 community.

@@boscokid9524 I know nothing about OTOW, except that they sent a “cease and desist” order for 55plus to halt their info video about them. I am curious about OTOW, but I like getting the unbiased info from this KZbin channel, instead of the propaganda distributed by each of these communities. It may very well be a lovely place to live. Living in NY, I’m just trying to get as much unbiased info on each community as I can before making the trip to see them in person. Good luck with your move! 😊

On the finance comparison: 1. Siliviota?? Lol 2. While no hoa in the villages, they do have that amenity fee. 3. I'm finding the taxes much higher, maybe what is quoted here is based b on original purchase orice from years ago. But buying new, or even resale and having taxes recalculate on new purchase price, $940 per 100 thousand seems way too low. I'm finding more in the area of $1500 per 100 thousand. Buyers should confirm that new rate with any community they are buying into. 3. Good luck with the haircut; they may give you a free one if you sign on the dotted line. 4. Great video again, always a ton of information people don't think about when they first start looking. Have a great Thanksgiving.

Thanks for pointing this out. We have been calculation based on the mileage rate, our agents can pull the exact taxes on a property when your looking. Prices are hard because there are usually smaller options available but they go fast & isn’t a good representation of the majority of listings. Maybe a better approach would be average price per sqft? Thanks for commenting :)

Great info. Thanks! I’m undecided as to community and was wondering how an agent who would be an expert in Solivita would also be an expert in the Villages or Leesburg area. Nice to know it’s a team effort. One question, J Michael mentioned there’s more coming to the Poinciana area. Any details on that? Being. a Minnesotan, I don’t like the idea of the closet Target being a half hour away!

We had a great experience @ OTOW visit and would truly urge others to take a serious look at it. One our good friends just bought there but had to rent while they built their new home (about 10 months). They love it there and we were definitely impressed at what we saw. Currently, we feel we have been priced out @ The Villages. We are set to visit in early December, the Claremont area with one of your sweet Agents, Mary Mateo. We are still on the fact finding mission and are having fun doing it! Also, we are big Disney peeps so that will factor into our decision.

I would think a lot of the retired are Pool people not beach people, unless the Grandkids in town !
