for abt 18mos I watched all your videos and others on utube. I was very impressed and did not take a lifestyle visit. Once I found a floor plan I liked I actively searched the Villages website. I indicated to the villages I was interested. Their sales Rep Michael Guarino contacted me and for several weeks we worked together online. Finally a new home in the village of Hawkins was available. I bought it after Mike did a personal video walkthru for me. I sent in my 10% deposit and closed on 25 Feb. 2022. Mike met me and showed me around on several days. All in all it was a great purchasing experience. Closing was a breeze and basically I signed my name once and the home was mine. All moved in and awaiting the sale of my home in N.E.

I am 81 years old. I have moved to Florida three times and headed back North. I live in the Finger Lakes of NY now and Love it. I missed the seasons, I've had people Yell at me to go home in Florida, I disliked the education my three children were getting, The AC cost as much in the summer time as the Heat costs in the Winter here in the North, We found that it was a good place to visit but not live. But I do love your Videos.

Leg cramps = dehydration…next time you plan to do a lot of walking in the heat, start hydrating at least the day before by drinking a lot of water, more than you usually would. Then when in the park find a fountain or have water and make sure you drink every 30 minutes for at least 20 seconds. I guarantee no cramping. Also, if you are able to do so, take some ibuprofen or naproxen(Aleve) before you go. I went to Silver Dollar City in MO and my brother (the doctor in the family) made us all do this routine. He even set his watch for every 30 minutes. It was 100+ degrees and the middle of August, people all around us were dropping like flies. There were paramedics all over the park treating people with heat exhaustion and we just kept trucking along walking up and down the very hilly park. We never felt the effects of the heat.

We took our 3 year old daughter in 1979. It was crowded. We took both kids in 1985; it was crowded. I went by myself in 2010, 2011 before I moved away from FL. Crowded. BUT, now, my 62 year old cousin has been a certified Disney Specialist Travel Agent. IF I go again, I'll let her work her magic. She saved our son and his family a lot of aggravation last visit.(not advertising, but the name of her company is Mitzi's Magic Vacations in Winchester, VA.). Yes, EPCOT is always the best! But, in Magic Kingdom I've shed tears over the intense memories of experiences watching the TV show and movies and on family visits.

RE: Elbows on the table - Per Emily Post “Think of it this way. The fork and knife, situated on either side of a place setting, already act as an imaginary boundary for each person's space at the table. Today, while it's unlikely to interpret elbows on a table as a threat, putting them on the table is inconsiderate. Whether you realize it or not, your elbows are likely encroaching on those around you.” Love your vlog - keep up the good work! Karen F

The rec center activities are almost 100% organized and run by volunteers who get permits (6 month for outside, 12 months for inside). The group leader can limit the number of people who attend as well as the rec department. All first come first served but group leaders can say group is full most will have a wait list but this is rare. If new show up early and talk to the group leader. People are friendly and welcoming.

one of our timeshares are in Orlando, near Disney. We usually go in November, and not on the weekends. A great time to go. Those parks got super expensive for the day, even though we are Florida residents. So, we plan on going this year in November, then to The Villages for a few nights afterwards.

2018 was a great WDW year. Living in NJ then, we had an annual pass, took the Magical Express from MCO to Pop Century Resort. One vacation that year we stayed for 8 days, 7 nights. We were beat at the end. Talk about exhausted! But it was the best time ever. Things have changed at WDW since that golden year of ours, and not for the better, let me tell you. Great show today! Enjoyed it immensely.

Great Info as always! My Kids take their kids to Disney everything multiple times a year. I really enjoy the disney pictures because disney is always so clean and pretty. The crowds and expensive cost of everything at Disney, keeps me from going to Disney. In my case " pictures are worth $1,000 dollars". LOL. I save money, avoid the crowds, and my feet thank me, and I'm just happy to see the pictures! That's for the pictures!!

I had NO pressure from my Villagers agent. I'm sure i hounded him much more than he liked. It's all up to you how much involvement you want. I went for 4 days and decided on a courtyard villa Avondale. It's perfect for me and i love the enclosed space for my pup and privacy. I think it's plenty of room for one, anything bigger and it would be more to take care of. Glad you had a great time at Disney. Hope to bump into you this week while I'm there.

We joined Disney Vacation Club 10 years ago and have been going to WDW at least once /twice a year. Over that time we have taken our grandkids and my daughter and wife have been in several races. I've been a fan of your channel for over two years, when several friends moved from Illinois over the years. I often wave to you from the hiway as I drive to and from the Orlando area. On WDW, as I got older, making a ten mile walk around the parks became a challenge. At first, renting a scooter then purchasing my own, makes a day at Disney or other long walk ventures easier. Enjoy your your program! John Jun

Disney World certainly is one amazing place. We enjoyed it in 2000 when our oldest of 3 kids was 10. It was our first time to Florida as we stayed in the Polynesian hotel on Disney Property and had access to Magic Kingdom, MGM, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom over four days. I must say it was really lots of fun and an unforgettable experience my family will remember forever. I am glad for the opportunity that started my love of regular trips to the sunshine state over the years. Thanks for the memories.

I wanted to write a more meaningful comment. So, thank you for the great videos. I am really looking forward to moving to the villages when we retire. I think it would be fun and keep us active in our later years. I am trying to convince my mother to relocate with us but she has negative views from years of bad information. As for not hearing people wanting to go north, let me be the first. I am always happy to go home in Pennsylvania after our Florida trips even when it's over the wintertime. Of course we enjoyed going down when it's not so hot. We fly in&out of Sanford and Clearwater on Allegiant Airlines. Great smaller airports.

Hi Jerry, Linda and Gizmo. Better late than never. Doesn’t surprise me people of all ages love your vlogs. Disney. Amazing. Easy 15-20,000 steps or more. Definitely need more than a day at Disney. $25 not bad to park. Blackout periods fine. Want to avoid summer, holidays, weekends, spring break etc. Wow. Need reservations for the park restaurants? So Disney a pretty penny for you Floridians too. 🤣. Jerry. You laid down and started Yogging? Love it. Never even heard of these smaller airports. Great to know you can have cocktails 🍸 by the pool. Swimming doing laps and water aerobics great for those of us with orthopedic challenges. Thanks so much and see you next video.

Platform tennis is just another name for paddle tennis which is a smaller court and more latitude for older players. Not as physically demanding but you still are getting a workout. The platform/paddle tennis racket is smaller and resembles a racketball racket. It's smaller. Fun workout. Try it.

We watch all your videos and learn a lot, even if we're not joining you "Inside the Bubble". You mentioned Orlando-Sanford airport but said you were unfamiliar with it. Its great that you have the energy and desire for theme parks - Im sure I’m the only person in the free world that has no desire for that (am I’m ok with that 🤣) I did all that when I was young today I would have no patience for lines, crowds and these “apps” that require checkins- I was there in the early 2000’s before these “apps” stuff and I was younger so crowds and lines and walking all over didn’t bother me! Agree....when I was trip planning, circa 1983 or even earlier. I had lunch seats reserved for family (pre-internet) at upstairs in the castle! Love Gainesville airport. Just dropped off my daughter who went to Washington state. The airport goes to Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte. From there is a short layover but you can get anywhere.

Went by the Villages on our way to Inverness on Thursday. Saw some electrical linemen with big poles that unfortunately didn’t pay attention to how long they were. Did some pretty good damage to the front entrance.

Just a suggestion ... Go to the back of the park. Then ride on rides towards the front of the park. 👍

Elbows on the table is something no one even notices. Feel free to do so. Just don't break wind! Excellent points about crazy speeders. I drove for a quarter of a century for a living as I traveled for my job. One good thing about 55 mph was people drove slower but now that is at 65mph people are speeding which as allows you to have zero reaction time to another driver. The less reaction time the more likely you will unfortunately have an unpleasant encounter. Driving near the speed limit allows for proper reaction time.

There's several annual passes for Disney World. The one you described is the most restrictive and least expensive. However, not all of them are currently for sale. We do about 20k steps per day. Unfortunately it's not for those that don't plan and it's super expensive, but we love it.

The last time I was at Disney World, 12 yrs ago, I decided not to go back because of the crowds, long lines and wait times, the cost of food and walking. We stayed a week at a mid-priced hotel on the property because in the long run it was cheaper and included park hopper tickets. Waiting for bus transportation was horrible because everyone scrambled to get into the air conditioned bus. We actually had a bus driver quit at our stop and just walk away. We had to wait another 45 minutes for a replacement! Naturally I told management about it and even though they gave us a 3-day pass for the future, I gave them to my daughter, back in 2010. When you figure out how many rides you get onto for the day, it comes out to, what $30 a ride? No thank you.

Hi Jerry and Linda! Love Mondays because I get to see you both! Jerry, the reason your legs were cramping is because you needed electrolytes after 3-5 hours in the sun, and not because you are not strong. An unhealthy quick way to get them is Gatorade which also has a lot of sugar. A more healthy way is to keep packets of ENER-C powder packs (see Amazon) with you and add to your water bottle as you notice the cramping starts. The healthiest way is to keep a water bottle with a mixture of pink salt (for its mineral content), water and lemon with you. The way you know that it is a good mixture of all three is it should taste good. If you aren’t watching your sugar, you can add a pack of that in there also. Kind of like a salty sweet lemonade. When your body is dehydrated, any of the above will be delicious. And will keep you going.

@@JERRYANDLINDA G2 is okay, that's Gatorade without the sugar. Also, eat a banana, it helps to prevent cramping like that. I always eat one before the gym, too, it helps.

Speaking of the traffic in FL, FL is a no fault state for accidents and cars do not have to be inspected.

Ms Manners says it’s perfectly fine to put your elbows on the table before or after the food has been served, ie, once the meal is over and the table has been cleared. Disney world-we’d be the first ones in line, having parked right across the entrance very first thing in the morning. This means we arrived long before the park opened. We’d be there when it opened and some days (2 of the 4) would be there until after dark to watch the electric parade. I loved it, but couldn’t do it now. I was in my 40s the last time I visited. I apologize for being so long winded. I used to do a lot of training and, like a teacher, you are detail oriented and repetitive. I was great at it. I’m done now.
