The Violinist is the WORST Role in Wolvesville 2022!

Some information on what roles are included. Only roles that are OFFICIALLY RELEASED in 2022 count. That includes Vigilante, which was already tested in 2021, but not tested roles like Spy, Wolffluencer, Butcher and Locksmith. Some roles like Violinist, Preacher, Astronomer might change in the next year, but that counts as 2023. Also, the Assassin is technically a new role, but not in the list, didn't really know how to judge it. 😄 When it comes to Creativity scores, these are solely measured in comparison with other Wolvesville roles. I do think it is somewhat unoriginal if a role is copied from another game/boardgame, but there exists games like mafiagg which has over 200 roles and many more werewolf games that are less well known but might be known by a very small percentage of the WOV community. Therefore I think it is unfair to say that a role copied from the cardgame or Town of Salem is uncreative in Wolvesville and should be rated low on Creativity; whereas another more obscure role is copied from a more obscure game and since people don't know it, they might rate it higher for Creativity. The only fair way to rate Creativity is to use Wolvesville itself as the reference. Happy holidays and see you for Part 2 soon 🧑‍🎄

@@iplayedbedwarsroblox9413 honestly I don't look at TOS for Creativity score. That is because there are hundreds of werewolf games, mafiagg has like 200+ roles and its impossible to know all roles from other games. Creativity is just measured through what is already there in Wolvesville.

Hype I wanna ask you something and wanna learn if you agree with me. Well I didnt count it but over 30 roles have been added/tested this year. However OVER 20 OF EM are villager roles , about 7-8 of em are ww and 2 solo roles. Do you agree that they should add more solo killer/voting role?(Well I guess you know I love solo roles unlike you 😄) but when they add a new villager , I’m getting bored instead of being happy. Even they started being usual ; like butcher , isn’t him just an astronomer(i know they arent the same but the role is not creative)? Also the solo voting they tested(anarchist) was really trash so we are left with e det which is good but not enough against corr and illu

Solo voting roles are really tough to come up with. I think more solo killers could be added, noted that the devs want to have each role tree at around the same size, so I think its most logical to see a new advanced role of SK.

I know that my comment will probably not interest you, since it has mothing to do with this, but I think you should talk about what some people are talking about on discord. One day devs accidentslly revealed golden role icons which were given to those who had golden cards (a.k.a. legendary). The feature was intended to be revealed in a future update, and currently they arent obtainable anymore. This would probably be a good short/short video.

Its not approved tbh. They test a lot nowadays and bad things get feedback and eventually get fixed or just not added (Locksmith is a prime example of a role that was tested in the summer but not added).

I think voodoo should be higher on creativity. Although it is all "recycled", it has two new ideas, one being a ww with two abilities and a ww being able to affect night and day. Also in terms of balance I think that voodoo is just a stronger nww BUT it is a VERY high skill role, I would argue the highest skill non killer role in the game (because zombie is obviously higher skill

Its definitely not as skill-based as split wolf imo. Sorcerer also requires a lot of skill.

@@hypostein will admit, never played sorcerer and split wolf only around 5 times However, from what I see split wolf is certainly high skill, but the way you play is pretty similar each game. Gain trust with village so you survive untill around day 5 If you are discovered, do whatever it takes to survive the day and bind to the strongest villager. If not, bind to a role it is hard for ww to kill, bh bg ect. You could double to ww wincon and if you die you get rid of a hard role to kill. Voodoo on the other hand has a lot if variable decisions: when to nightmare/mute? You only have one nightmare, who do you use it on? Seer? Med? Doc? Greedy cannibal? Do you want to save a mute for the final three so you can tie the final vote and win? Mute before shadow activates? Mute mayor so they don't keep double vote? Mute seer so they can't share info leaving you more time to kill then?

Thrice per game you can ask an icecream from another player. Villager will only tell you to get a spoonfull but non villager will not give you any. You die if you use this ability twice in a row and didnt get any ice cream

Nothing can be as bad as zombie, lets stay realistic there. Wolf summ has quite a good use and somewhat similar in strength as alpha ww imo, whereas stubborn werewolf is too op and should be advanced of another werewolf role, like guardian wolf.

@@hypostein Sect leader is way worse than zombies and a lot underpowered than bandits, when the leader dies, the game is over for the entire team, and it can only have a limited number of people, it can't talk with their teammates or even know their roles, their teammates also cannot convert anyone else, unlike zombies. Village and werewolves both are against the sect leader, and it only gets 40xp for winning.

@@hypostein yes but against those certain roles and from my personal experience wolf summoner wad the worst the ability almost never comes in handy especially against an op village, and I don't know why vio gets so much hate, especially paired with det or ana it's super useful, the nk thing is a problem but there's only ever 2 so it's very rare that it gets found and if vio ever finds someon then they get killed and she can go find someone else and they get killed and so on. I choose vio over aura bc aura is boring with no strategies and you get vague and bland info, where ands with gambler and vio the vague info is eliminated

@@archturusdeydas3989 it should get more xp yes, but zombies are op. Its meaningful to win as Sect Leader because you are vulnerable, aka its more challenging. Roles with which it is easy to get a winrate higher than 50%, that are not villagers, yes that is what we call 'broken'. Fun to play with for winrate grinding, but I'm not one of those. Regardless, Zombies and Sect and to some degree Bandits, have an issue, namely that they sometimes agree to convert everyone . That is something they all need a rework for.

@@Lottie_Latte from my personal experience, vio games tend to have dead chats, at least before the recent change, which I used as reference here. I usually didnt get trusted as vio either, but the Fun element has definitely increased since the recent buff. Regardless, its only 1 of the 3 factors that determine how good the role is. In terms of wolf summ: you look at it from a different angle than me. Wolf summ isnt supposed to be strong early game; its a carry role. Same for split wolf and maybe even alpha werewolf and stubborn werewolf. That the village is too op is a different problem, and I agree with that. I think the way to balance that is to add more claiming space or a fourth team (e.g. Cupid). But ye, Wolf Summ is made for end-games and is certainly stronger than Alpha ww, assuming the shadow wolf isnt fixed.
