I love seeing creativity. Anyone can go out and buy things, but the satisfaction of having something you’ve made and knowing that it is unique is a great feeling. Love the curtains.

🧑🏻🎨🎨🖌️✏️✂️Understanding why some people do these things? Most of the time it’s not so much about how much cheaper something is to create, though that can be the case. It’s about the process itself of creating, the joy, fun and satisfaction of creating. Usually it’s creative minds that do these things and love it. It’s also reaching out to people who haven’t discovered their hidden talents and this may help them to make a start and give them a new hobby or they may become the next greatest artist, who knows?👩🏽🎨🎨🖌️✏️✂️👨🏽🎨

Love the beautiful lady painting the cacti on the curtains….I could watch videos she does just because she is so talented….reminds me of my sister who does all kinds of crafts….and not me who only likes to cross stitch…😊

If you paint fabric shouldn’t you wash first to remove possible chemical coating? I haven’t done curtains but have done dish towels, aprons, t-shirts. The cactus painting would make a great outer shower curtain.

Delightful video, thank you. To the Neg. Nellys- I don't even need curtains! I enjoy watching for the process, anticipating the outcome, seeing the talent, & her soothing nature calms my racing a.m. mind. The bonus; when my grandkids (girls 10 & 11) visit for the summer I'll hear "Omi you always come up with the coolest ideas!" Do forgive me, as I will not share any credit, this lonely granny will not squander those smiles & hugs.

Here in the U.K. if you were to buy a rod that size it would cost more than a ready made curtain rail… here in the U.K. we are so different to the American in pricing

Just buy a rod it’s easier and probably the same price once you add everything up to DIY it I would bet it’s more in cost then buying a rod.

Having owned a real estate company......PLEASE do not glue cheap glass beads of any kind on your walls. Only do personalized diys if you can easily remove them for resale. If you ever think you may need to sell your property, such diys can reduce the value. If you must, then do so in a way its easily removed, and doesn't cause damage to the drywall.

Loved the garbage bag and paper towel holder ideas. Plus several of the other ideas. Why spend for plastic items that are going to fall apart quickly. Plus all the crazy creative ideas that save money and the environment. You naysayers are boring and I’lol bet your homes are too.
@rayshelld791Ай бұрын
I cringe whenever I see people put holes in their doors and cabinets with screws. Once a screw hole is made, it leaves a perminate hole that is almost impossible to cover up. Using command hooks is a much better option when possible. And fyi, whenever drilling a hole in plastic for a screw, use a washer. It will stabilize the screw, and keep the head of the screw from pulling through thin plastic.

in my opinion, this KZbin page has some of the most ridiculous DIY videos that I have ever watched in my life. Who in the heck would want to go through that odd mess of trying to tie-dye your curtains with Ice in the sun? The funny thing to me is that this DIY was a total fail, but yet they still post it. So you went through all of that with the ice all of the tie-dye colors out in the sun, yada yada and then all the colors fade from the sun when you hang up the curtains in a window! Therefore, who the heck would want to copy this DIY FAIL?! 🤦♀️ LOL Bizarre. Who makes up these RIDICULOUS DIYs! It's painful watching these videos because many are completely ridiculous and totally not classy. Let's be glad these people are not home designers. 🤦♀️

Adding paint or plastic coating to the surface of ceramic tiles does not make them better, they may look spiffy for 6 months then they will start to look like a dilapidated mess. If your tiles look drab and cleaning them isn’t enough don’t waste your money on inferior products to cover them up, use that money to put in new tiles.
