A lot of funky furniture tend to trend when a recession is up.

This is me and the Halloween people with the Halloween shit being released right now. The hunt is fun but eventually it gets tiring. I dislike how certain items become staples that everyone just **has** to buy this season, as if we didn't do the same thing LAST YEAR (and every other year). I adore the community but sometimes the consumption is just too much.

I was watching a video made by a woman who buys thrift store items, and crafts them into spooky Halloween decor. Nice upcycling and a creative outlet!

I actually have the corn stool and I've had long before the viral videos 😅 I just loved the quirkiness of it and use it as a side table in our lounge room. I have since bought the ice cream cone planter and love that too! Edit: I don't plan to buy the whole series as I do not need that many so completely agree with the craziness of over consumption.

I found you through your toilet room makeover and omg your videos are amazing!! I can't believe you only have 3k subscribers when you deserve an infinite amount more! It's clear you spend so much time on scripting/filming/editing and I can't wait to watch whatever video you put out next!

I have really struggled with impulse buying but setting rules that align with my values has helped a lot. And more than anything else, the icky feeling I get looking at decor I bought but don't love is a huge deterrent against buying new replacements! Furniture and decor is just too big an investment (on my space and on my eyes) to follow trends. These stools are a trend and an investment in one yummy looking package. Also, if I may make a request, I would love to watch a paper mâché tutorial/project on your channel! Your projects in other videos seem very sturdy and I'm curious to learn more about practical applications with paper mâché. Thank you for reading

Impulse buying is something that I think a lot of us will struggle with! Especially when decorating a new home - it feels like there’s so much to buy, which can lead to rushed, slightly stupid decisions (speaking from experience 🤡). I’ve learned that slow and steady is the way to get pieces that I will keep long term. And yes! I have a single-project paper mâché video in the works which will go more in depth on the process ❤️

your content is truly so amazing, thank you for sharing your self and interests in this way! i love the way you think about things with such insight and critique, and i appreciate getting a chance to hear your design process in your other videos as well thank you for discussing ongoing genocides as well, it feels rare that people speak on this and the more people that do the more of us feel empowered to do so. thank you for leading by example

Great video! This food home decor is so niche, I wonder what the future take on this will be in like 10/20 years. I personally love a bit of fruit shaped objects, used to have the cherry toilet brush. It was fun for a while but then got really bored of it. Anyway love your content! 🍉🍉🍉

Everyone is struggling to find a reason to get up in the morning these days. I think stupid, fun furniture makes life a little more bearable for some people. Distracts from the misery of reality. And some people just like it for no particular reason.

It's not for me as I am not young enough to appreciate them in my home but can appreciate the creativity of it. I am not bothered with TikTok at all as don't have the time for that app. It would have to be eco friendly to even get my attention or be in my home. Thank you for creating and supporting awareness on Gaza and the plight of the Palestinian people I think people should consider it instead of buying these fad furnishings.

I find it really dodgy that you weren’t able to confirm what they’re made of as well… definitely never going to decompose. I love videos about these stools but your points about overconsumption and manufactured scarcely are so true and a lot of these influencers are now saying they need to get rid of some while buying more??? That is a ludicrous way to consume anything

Gen X so allergic to these things but I wonder if Millenials and Gen Z are more attracted to this type of decor (and dressing) as they are the first and second generations to have access to screens from childhood and have also been seriously focussed on as consumers by advertisers since early childhood? Also a childhood in the 80s or 90s would add a nostalgia for loud colour and quirky shapes, perhaps. There is a cartoony, kid's toy, childcare centre aesthetic that seems to appeal - no criticism intended, as every generation has its questionable taste. Farmcore anyone? I am sure you are clever enough to craft original versions of these from thrifted materials. As a side note, "stool collection videos" is going to attract some confused gastroenterologists.
