I love it when people get a chance to ask questions from the filmmaker himself, but man does it get tiring when everybody asks questions that have been answered multiple times in other interviews and such...

If I was part of that audience I would ask why he changed Chani and how is it going to significantly is it going to change events of Dune Messiah, because there's no way it's going to follow the source material after how part 2 ended. 50% of part 3 will be totally made up, and we all know what happens when people think they can compete with the source material *cough cough* Game of Thrones *cough*

Two things: Villeneuve hasn’t missed so far, and the source material is already made. Even if some things are different, I can’t imagine it being anywhere near to the catastrophe of GoT.

I understand this is to promote Dune for oscars, but DV must one day face the fact that he can't work with actors and he must pay as much attention to narrative as to set pieces, cause all this nonsense as if he made modern 2001 is really getting to me. And for the love of God emperor, he should start taking dialogues seriously and grow out of silent movie era and embrace "talkies".

That’s the style of movie he makes. If you don’t like it, then that’s fine. I’m sure in the future someone will make another dune movie and lean more on the dialogue.

Agreed. Filmmaking 101, certain dialogue is necessary and characters must be introduced by their names. No one spoke the name Piter or Irulan in either film. Sigh.

@@jonconnington5784 I know what you are saying. it's just frustrating, because I am a fan of his movies, and they could have been perfect. he needs to make 1-2 steps forward and he will be the legend some people praise him to already be.
