I think the after that line where Sam yells "Quackity!", I think because he remembers Tommy yelling Sam when Dream yells Sam, it's because he knows Quackity Is dangerous. He thinks that if Quackity hurts them or kills them, it'll be just like how he let Dream kill Tommy. Quackity seems like Dream to Sam, and Dream becomes Tommy.

I think Dream does regret what he did to Tommy, killing and reviving him, but he got caught up in the thrill of succeeding that he only made things worse between them. Cause on the day Tommy got out of the prison, Dream had to ask for potatoes from Tommy, but why would he let Tommy have that kind of control over him unless he let it happen?

But that doesn't mean he still thinks it's ok for "innocent" people to be tortured now that he's been on the receiving end of it. I'm not explaining it well but like... there are limits now? Except with Quackity. I'm sure Dream has no qualms about that one.

watching through this is such a rollercoaster that is so accurate to the actual streams dafasfs like there's the light-hearted tone at the beginning with the Redstone malfunctioning, Quackity laughing about the dog and bell while Dream's actually sounding a lot like he used to sound with Techno and him being best friends

What intrigues me is that Quackity tries so hard to seem intimidating or powerful, when in reality, he's nothing more than a man with cunning and ambition. While intelligence is not something to be overlooked, he lacks the presence of authority, resulting in him not being that scary of a person to deal with. He banks heavily on others to make him seem like someone you don't want to mess with because "he's the one in charge". But without Sam's sheer terrifying demeanour, Quackity really doesn't come off as much of a threat as I think he wants to. While it's good to have allies and he can certainly be scary with them, he doesn't give off the "do not fuck with me and that's final" vibe like Sam, Dream, Techno, or Schlatt do/did. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I think he wants that sort of power, to be equals with some of the Dream SMP's most intimidating characters.

Exactly! It's because he's not like them that he wants to be like them, because he was also belittled for being weak and told he'd be nothing without others (Schlatt). That's his trauma.

I agree. because the only reason why he had both of them (Dream and Techno) vulnerable and overpowered is because they had nothing. and yet, he still hasn't gotten what he (quackity) wanted yet. even though he has Dream inside a prison, he still fails to hold complete power over Dream.

I love Techno's facial expression at 1:43 just as he's winding up to punch Quackity, you can just see the chaos in this man's eyes. The timing before such a serious scene makes me laugh so hard. Brilliant pose there as well, you can really tell there's power behind that punch. R.I.P Technoblade, you will live forever in our hearts.

Another absolute banger! Your style lends so well to both the comedic tones and the serious ones, and they blend so well together. Once again, the expressions are making me go feral, with the way you portray rage and terror. Despite Sam having a mask, you can feel his emotion so well, as he tries to sort everything out and struggles with guilt and panic. Quackity's expressions really show how this affected him personally, especially with how much pent-up anger he has. And of course, we can't forget the flashbacks to Tommy, our favourite source of pain! Even though he wasn't there himself, you can see how both Sam and Dream think about him as well, both in different ways, and that's so cool. If this is how amazing this animatic came out, I'm ready for my heart to be torn out and DISINTEGRATED with the next one you do.

My favorite diffrence between Quackity and Techno is how they treat people around them. Sam telling Dream that he won't tell Quackity where he is already shows Quackity's allies looking to his downfall. Techno no matter who where or when he holds respect for them. He doesn't become angry at Quackity, he stays calm. He even is joking about Phil leaving him in the prison for 3 damn months. Even forgiving Tommy somewhat in his will and wishing the best for him. He holds no grudges. But he will repay debts. Out of kindness or out of revenge.

The first part, both mixing comedy and drama, switching between the two perspectives, it's a really nice touch! even nicer as it's brought back at the end to bring light to the philza-techno misunderstanding lmao Also, for a character that had no narrative loss over the course of his whole story, those few seconds of nervousness as Quackity has the upper hand over Techno are just *chef's kiss* I'm gonna hold on to this clip until I die lmaoo and then he's gone. And the hollow look on quackity's face just screaming murder, and dream immediately tries to not be the casualty of that lmao. And sam literally has to push him away otherwise..; welp, revival book gone! And that second half??? OOOhhhh boy, that conversation between sam and quackity is just excellent.How quackity repeats "where the fuck is technoblade?" the desperation in his voice, and then dream is gone as well And he takes it out on sam, who is already on the verge of breaking down, and he lashes out at him and quackity just LAUGHS, maniacally. his wheezy 'he's gone' all of his expressions combined with the voice acting just shows how hopeless, desperate, absolutely broken quackity is upon the realisation. He has this dread-indulcing feeling that his days are numbered and just... goodness Quackity, have someone that cares about you and is ready to protect you PLEASE I just want a happy ending for this broken shell of a man. Anyway elaborate way of saying that it's one of my favs animatics. You always do such a great job with those, and that style of animatic, showing full scenes and entire conversations is really unique to you, and I love that :]

Whoa, wow that was a great comment! Nice analysation and the way you talked about Quackity's character... Honestly, I don't know much about these guys, having only started following recently, but the live version of Techno's escape made me really hate Quackity as a character, and maybe that was how he played that character. But the way you just.talked about him showed me a different side to this guy...maybe I oughta take a closer look.

I could talk about quackity for hours on ends! He is far from being the nicest person on the server, and he can be cruel and petty, but if you decide to watch more of his Point of view, you'd realize most of his unlikable traits now come from a place of hurt and mistreatment! Of course that doesn't excuse his actions, but he is such an interesting character and below this facade of cruelty and screaming and anger, there is a really broken man who doesn't know how to get back on his feet :') (Sadly, I can't say the same for c!techno slfdkjslfkjs but I'm glad you enjoyed my comment! I like Dream reactions during the whole thing, like, Techno realizes that it's fine if he loses his only life, because Dream can bring him back whenever, and Dream inmediate response is "You DON'T want to experience death tho.." Then reaching for Sam to stop Quackity. You know Dream was traumatized by Tommy's words, he was holding onto his only friend by that point.

Y'know regardless of his deteriorated mental state showed in the jailbreak it's difficult to tell if dream is being genuine about techno experiencing death given his manipulative nature it's difficult to tell exactly when he's being serious about things which is definitely a nice touch to his character you can never get a clear picture of his thought process even when he's talking about what he intends to do or his form of planning nothing is quite what it seems which is interesting
