Grettings from sweden! I also own a Volvo pickup its really common in sweden its like a car but you only need to bee 15 to drive it and its the same licens as moped but it can only go in 30km/h the type of the veichle is called (a traktor) if you Google it you Will get an idea:) btw to get it to go in 30km/h you take the gearbox from the Volvo amazon called m40 and put it bakwards behind the gearbox called m47, then you get the gearing to go 30km/h thats the rules how ever.mine is an Volvo 245 1993 d24 engine converted to d24 tic! Im already on my second engine swap/reabuild im gonna pick it up next week (b230fk) turbo verision of b230 but you already know that..great video and nice Painting!

I have done a few truck builds. Econoline van, Olds Cutlass, Geo tracker and VW wagon. I cheat when it comes to the floor of the bed. Our junkyards always have full sized truckbeds that are wrinkled up in the crush pile. I trim out the load floor and cut to fit my needs. Your project came out great. One nice feature of the Volvo is once you pull the shocks, you can swap out the springs for heavier duty coils. As long as they are same diameter. Paint a Swedish flag on the roof!

great work guys' know the hours have been many to get to this point and drive it finally, the cedar bed gives it that period look, and the headlights are far better looking and safer than the old 4 headlight set up on the last generation, I have been driving 240's for almost 40 yrs, 78 242GT, 82 GLT,86 240 DL and now 89 240DL 4DR, my 78 was the best, the 89 is by far the best most trouble free, that year Volvo went back to completely 100% Bosch electrical and electronics, you can realistically daily drive this for at last 10 yrs everything you need is still readily available. if you want to do a 5.0 litre swap, there were plans on the net a few yrs ago to do a Mustang 5.0 swap and some engineer had done the plans up and was selling them, so the engine and 5 speed std from a fox body drops in and just get a custom 1 piece driveshaft and away you go, there's a guy on youtube that did a 245 wagon 5.0 litre swap
