Incredibly dry humour but still superbly funny. A clarkson/partridge type parody. More please!!! :)

Literally one of my Dream cars... The Mk2 VW's are some of the best looking cars ever and the Rallye flares and lamps are just so incredible. I wish my Mk2 Jetta with the 16V/G60 motor (those "hooks" under the hood are not unique to the Rallye BTW) I built had had 4wd and I;d have LOVED to stick the whole drivetrain in my Caddy or even my old Wolfsburg Fox (that car was a Rally champ and the years I lived on Mt. Hood, with it's Nokian Rally tires, it went up and down through the snow better then most 4wd's)

This is a nice car, however it has now been made individualised so very far from original spec. I knew when this were new, the interior is not original. You should have heard the sound on them when new, it was quite unique and unlike no other car on the road at the time, mind the bonnet is not factory. But i guess being old cars now unless a maximum 3 owner car a lot are no longer original, with all sorts of mod done to them. Two mates had them when they were still 5 years old, one of them was an "MTM" version and i had my e30 m3 evo which i sold last year (owned for 22 years). Thanks for the video.

Xavier Lemos ooooo don’t say that...... you just put the prices of them up by £10k lol 😂 seriously though I personally think your right ;) rare car now and prices are reflecting that!

i was lucky enough to get a 92 golf gti for free off of a family friend, and it came with the square Rallye headlights. i was told they are rare. also came with kt1 classic wheels which actually don't look too bad. super lucky find, glad i got i for free. runs perfect now after a few things, after sitting in a garage for at least 15 years. debating on doing the 20v 1.8t swap

enjoy the ultimatelly underpowered mk2 Golf at outrageously prices, not for the car just.. but for any spare that now VW will not sell you and tell you should dump that old golf and buy a new one.. enjoy the lack of sharpness and punch of the most stupid supercharger ever put into production wich not only is notoriously unreliable and inefficient..but that will also requiere complete overhauling every 80k kms expending about 600-700€ per overhaul. enjoy the trills of the AWD Syncro system wich is esentially a FWD wich sometimes sends torque to the rear when things are allaready ugly.. and above all prepare to pay a fortune for every Rally related spare or part.. behold how clueless sellers bill you 30€ for some rear calipers and when you tell them "its for a mk2 Golf Rally" they multiply the price X10 in your face expecting you to pay for what are the same rear calipers the regular GTI usses i shall know as i own a mk2 and know some Rally owners (including some who did VR6 and 1.8 20VT swaps and even a Haldex swap) its a pity VW fucked up with the engine and esentially installed the mk2 8V engine supercharged with very badly planned intake houseing and intercooler badly cooled .. had they used a proper 16V engine like the Limited we would be speaking about a 210hp rally..and not one who in hot days does 140

so i guessing your 'Enjoyed' the Video then ;) LOL you have a fair point on price of the cars but unfortunately when you put 'Limited edition' into the equation demand will out way supply that's a fact of life. id love one but have been priced out the market by car collectors the markets gone crazy over the last 3 years when it comes to classic cars, AND the PARTS the part are ridiculous from what I've seen; but again these things weren't massive produced so they got you by the balls and VW are a bit crap with looking after the old stuff!! Personally id love one but would prefer to own a Limited as you said 210BHP i loved my edition one had it for nearly 4 years never had a problem with the ticking time bomb under the bonnet ;), i cant speak about the lack of sharpness as mine was modified as was this car. ALL cars have their problems and quirks some more than others........but ain't that the joy of owning them ;) regards Langers

i did enjoyed the video .. thanks! im a big mk2 fan. To be fair is reasonable that the Rally are so expensive..its indeed a limited run car very exclusive and it will be allways much more value than any other mk2 or mk3 (save for the limited).. however in the end its still a G60 engine (very slighty less engine size for homologation porpuses) . For example an original Rally brake pump years ago was 5000€ in VW... and a Corrado VR6 one was the very same for about 300.. and many simular examples.. this makes the Rally actually sustainable as long as one is willing to use parts from other models .. going 100% original shots the price upwards. Im allready having trouble keeping my mk2 GTI running and its a regular 8V.. more than half the parts are not produced anymore..and we are talking about critical parts like conformal hoses wich cant be replaced with aftermarket .. dont get me wrong .. Rallys are amazing ..all my friends who have one are very happy with them while selling and getting other cars along the way
