The Wacky Rig Is The Deal To Catch Bass (Summer Bank Fishing)

The wacky rig is one of the most important rig to have for summer bank fishing and in this video the wacky rig catches all the bass.
Bank fishing for bass is the deal for this video. I am stuck on the bank for the time do to boat things, but bank fishing is still a great way to get out and catch some bass.
Bass fishing in summer is always a tricky time of year due to the extreme heat that we are having this side of world. The summer sun comes up really early and this makes the day really hot from a early time.
So in this video I follow my rule of covering the water columns. First thing I always do is I start with a topwater lure. In this section of the video I use a hollow body frog. I make casts really tight to the bank to see if there are any bass wanting to bite.
If the topwater bite doesn't happen I move to the middle of the water column. I mostly use a chatterbait to cover as much water as possible and to see if the bass are not in the mood to chase a moving bait.
If the middle of the water column doesn't seen to produce I move over to something that is abit slower and that sits on the bottom. In this case the pond I am fishing has alot of grass and a bottom bait isn't the best thing to be using to catch bass.
I always find that a weightless bait works the best in situations where the pond have alot of grass. So in this case I use a weightless wacky rig to catch that bass bank fishing. The wacky rig has a unique action which the bass seem to like.
The water visibility in this pond is clear so I highly recommend using a natural wacky rig. The dam is stacked with bluegill and Kurper that are a nature colour like green pumpkins and watermelons.

I use a 5 inch Berkley The General, cloures I use are mostly Black, Watermelon green pumpkin and Green Pumpkin party. I never use a weighted hook on my wacky rigs. Hopefully this help

This is GNU valley, it’s not far from Krugersdorp, you can google for directions. Entrance fee is R180 pp and all hooks need to be barbless.

Love your vids man! As a beginner I learn a lot from just watching you fish. It really helps when you insert the illustrations on the bait you are using like some of your other vids. It would also be great if you can give a short description of your tackle that change per type of bait your using.
