The Walk - EP 36 - The Military Railway - Derby To Ashby Line - Derbyshire/Leicestershire

I'm back out on the bikes with Phil as we explore the remains of the Derby to Ashby line on the Midland Railway.
In 1939 the line was taken over by the military for training up until 1945.
We start the explore in the woods by Chelleston East Junction just outside Derby, where we looked around a former army engine shed, hidden deep in the woods.
Then we cycle the Cloud Trail down to Melbourne where we find some military railway infrastructure abandoned since 1945, before continuing on past Cloud Hill Quarry and onto the trackbed of the former Ticknall Tramway, up towards Old Parks Tunnel, where we ended our Ticknal Tramway explore.
