Message received well. The non-attachment you discuss here is called Ishvara Pranidhana, in Sanskrit. In my training, Ishvara Pranidhana translates to surrender, relinquishing control. The only way to achieve Ishvara Pranidhana is through Svadyhaha, self-awareness. Which you clearly practice successfully. You are on a beautiful and ancient journey Friend. Thank you for bringing us along, I am looking forward to the next video.

I'm trying to find who I am myself...and your words resonate with me. I just want to be myself, no matter what others think of me...and I decided a few years ago to let people think what they want about me...that doesn't define me ! Since then, I really feel better about myself. I did what is consistent with my values, and being kind to people is not a weakness, wanting to be caring, serving others, collaborating, being honest, not lying to yourself or others. others is a valuable asset and not a weakness! I think we need more people like you, continue your quest for simplicity and rapprochement with nature because we are going to need it in some time and the more people there will be who will also go a long way in this direction, the more chance humanity will have of not becoming extinct.

You are such an inspiration. Non attachment is a big goal in Hinduism and other eastern religions. The idea is that to truly reach enlightenment or God realization, you have to let go to your attachments to this world, and move from ego centric living, to being a servant of God, to realizing it was God acting through you the whole time. The cool thing though, is it's not just for monks but for everyone, and there are different paths for different people. You my friend, are clearly following the path of karma yoga. Keep on being the beautiful soul that you are. As Ghandi said: renounce and enjoy.

Hey Rob! Been watching your journey for awhile now. Gone from admiring your gardening and activism to now admiring your decision to do what you want to do in a culture that has no context for what that is. You see, usually when people want to lose themselves and achieve enlightenment, they’ll join a group and practice in an established social construct where there is structure and camaraderie to make that path less painful. I think what you’re planning to do is unique in human history, as the implementation is similar to an eastern saint, but your goal is to affect an audience separate from those values. I would say I believe in you and you can do it, but in the spirit of this new journey of yours, none of that matters! 😅 I’ll be on this journey with you. -from your friend in Spain, Val

In my opinion being dedicated to serve is not a sign of madness. Your method to achieve that dedication is your choice, you don't seem to be harming anyone along the way. Shedding everything to serve is where I would personally draw a limit. I know vagrancy laws have changed but please don't shed too much you might find people don't want to be served by a starkus fellow. Non attachment is a realistic goal. You can wear cloths without being attached they are just a tool to keep warm and be protected. An epic walk, thank you for inviting us for the mile out of 15000. Take care. See you again soon.

I want to live in the knowledge that my way of life isn't killing all of the Earth's biodiversity just to satisfy my pleasures, my comfort. I also think that we have to show other people that it is possible to live on much less and still be happy and healthy, thus attracting more individuals to abandon the quest for more, newer, faster, etc. Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us and keep going! ; ) Best wishes all the way from France! ; )

Hello Robin. I really appreciate and respect what you are doing, and truly living the change that you want to see. Well done. I feel compelled to mention something though: I think that even once this trip is done you will still feel attached and not completely free. Why? Because our main attachment is not to anything physical but to our own sense of self. No matter how far we go there we still are. I know that someone of your sincerity and intensity will at some point turn all these efforts internally and find total unassailable Peace through the ultimate detachment to the 'I'-thought. In the meantime, thanks for documenting your beautiful, simple lifestyle. Blessings.

Yeah I like the idea of what he is doing, letting go of personal posessions - but wouldn't you need some clothing? We can make use of items that we need to survive whilst still practicing detachment and non ownership. Even Buddhist monks for example, who own nothing still wear a robe and I think have one bowl for food. Interested to see what happens at the end of the walk.
@carl85683 ай бұрын
@@ExitTheMatrixVR That is literally an extreme though. You can call it a false reality, but will you be calm and peaceful if you have been hit by a car or one of your loved ones has died? Unfortunately there is a lack of respect for the 3D realm and our egoic pattern in some spiritual circles. There are multiple levels of reality and people talk the talk like death is nothing. Speak of death after you've had a few.
