Negan’s last name is revealed in this episode It’s hard to see unless you pause but the name on the letterbox of his house says Smith meaning his full name is Negan Smith A few years back Robert Kirkman was asked at a convention what Negan’s last name was and he said he never gave him one but when people kept asking he just said his name is Smith there you go. 2. One of the trophies/pieces of memorabilia in the scene with Negan trolling kids on Gears Of War in addition to also having Negan Smith written on it shows that the high school football team he coached was called the Saviours.

I like the parallel between Negan and Rick in terms of how they started in the apocalypse. Rick found his family, whereas Negan lost his. Makes you wonder how Rick might've turned out if he'd lost his family at the start

I honestly think Rick would’ve killed himself. We already saw Rick was willing to end it all in Episode 1 when there was no hope. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gave up fully knowing his family died. Or he’d go back to Morgan.

speaking of paralells to Rick in the „Here's Negan“ comic COMIC SPOILER Negan's journey at the beginning of the apocalypse there actually starts off in a hospital as well. Negan is in the hospital to visit Lucille who is in very bad shape because of her cancer when he notices some gun sounds right outside the hospital so he goes over to the window to check what's going on and it's a huge panic outside with the military fighting against walkers but getting overrun. In shock Negan doesn't notice that Lucille has passed away and has turned into a walker already, when he realizes he's too shocked and not able to put her down by himself

Yeah and Rick has been so close to becoming someone like Negan since season 2 onwards "I was wondering how many of you I have to kill to save your lives" You would expect this quote from Negan but it is actually from Rick when he first arrived Alexandria.

Also let's not forget Rick did a small amount of time in a cell at Alexandria, Don't know if it is the same cell as the one Negan was in, think that cell was built awhile after but the similarities between the two are almost uncanny sometimes.

the scene of Negan bursting thru the door with the flames behind him is just iconic to me. the birth of a legend. and the emotions they were able to pull out of anyone with a soul was incredible. the journey from gamer to leader was one of the best storylines for the entire show for me. so glad to see i wasn't the only one cutting onions. so now we enter the final home stretch of this journey. really happy to know there are continued walking dead journeys to come. great job guys.

Or if their husbands broke the rules, the wifes could still save their lives if they got married with him. That's a choice. That was the law. Those who broke the rules also knew the consequences. If you get caught, you die. They did it anyway and still there was a possibility to save the life. The choice was made by the women at that moment. It wasn't a compulsion. So it wasn't rape. Shitty rules, but they all had the choice to belong or go to the community with these rules.

I'm really glad you both liked the episode! Definitely one of the best. As for the story about how Negan formed the Saviors, I feel that would require an entire miniseries dedicated to it. How he met Dwight, how he found the Sanctuary, what happened to the doctor guy, what happened with the first leader (he mentions to Gabriel that he killed him for supremacy), how he met Simon, how he found The Kingdom and Hilltop. Basically everything in between where the flashback ended and where the Season 6 finale begins from his point of view.

And the final scene omg!! without saying anything Negan and Maggie said everything with their crosses of glances, increases the tension between these two for season 11. It was only Simon's people that hung up the pictures as well, and there were still innocent people that didn't do that in that group as well taht were hardcore murdered in THEIR SLEEP. Both parties have done serious messed up shit, and yes, the Saviors more than our group by quite a lot with people like Simon. It wasn't even because of the thing on the road, Rick was just told there were people that were a problem and his first thing was: "We'll kill all of them for half of your food." LITERALLY doing the exact same thing as the Saviors for that matter. The whole point is that Rick was THIS close to becoming exactly, if not worse, than Negan turned out to be. Difference is, Rick had amazing people and friends around him to help him see reason, Negan didn't.

Definitely a worthwhile bonus episode, it's a good way to show Negan wasn't always bad at all. That's JDMs actual wife in real life. It was a great way to give Negan his humanity back, just brilliant. I would have loved to have seen the backstories of some other characters and we hoped we would get that in an a spinoff but it really never happened for the most part yet, accept one character lol. Are you all going to watch the spinoff other then Fear? I think you could watch world beyond now and the other anthology spinoff. I'm not going to lie, they are not very good overall but there are episodes that are pretty good and world beyond gives a little more info about what happened to Rick, but he's not in it but I don't think it was as horrible as some think it is😂. It's not pointless, let's put it that way. By season 11, I think you can watch both those spinoffs without spoiling anything

Ça devient de plus en plus dur de le détester, en plus ça se voit qu'il a changé et qu'il fait des efforts... J'ai aussi beaucoup pleuré devant cet épisode mais l'alchimie entre eux est vraiment folle ! ils ont d'ailleurs une petite fille ensemble ! C'est vrai que ça aurait été bien qu'on voie comment il a intégré les Sauveurs mais l'épisode est tout de même très beau et touchant 😍 C'est déjà la fin de la saison 10... Great episode! I'm sure by now you know that is Jeffrey's real wife? But I have an added piece of trivia. The bar used in this episode is the same bar location used in season 3. It's the bar where Merle is seen in the parking lot drinking whiskey and playing loud music to gather the walkers to help in his last fight with the Governor. They shoot this show in a very small town and reuse places all the time.
