32:54 I think what Lori meant is that she thinks Shane will kill Rick because he thinks Lori is his. Shane and Rick have their differences, but they're very similar in the sense that they will do anything for the people they love. I don't think she carried the message the best way since she whispered to Rick like a seductress, but she's right in warning Rick how dangerous Shane has become.

Rewatching this, seeing reaction videos like a decade later, and being able to see the episodes back to back so they better maintain their context, I’ve come to the conclusion that the fan base is completely wrong with their hate for Lori. She was manipulated by Shane and ended it as soon as she knew. She’s taken Dale’s warning about Shane and is telling it to Rick at the end of this episode in a way he can understand and validates the seriousness of the situation. If she simply had said “Dale thinks Shane killed Otis,” Rick would not try and convict without proof, she really needed to place doubt into his mind about Shane for Rick to get serious. And in the next few episodes we see that it worked. She was comforting for Andrea and Carol and conscientious about the value of life and the meaning of life in this world before any other character started having these questions. She’s a good character and didn’t deserve the hate.

I am so happy to see your beautiful faces today! And especially that cute little one! Was getting worried! Lol Hope you feel better Lacey! I didnt take Loris conversation with Rick, the same way. I took it as a warning to Rick. She just stated that Shane may be dangerous. And if he is, Rick needs to be aware. Cause Rick still trusts Shane. And Lori doesnt want him to be blinded. Just be aware, is how I took it. The kid part, is so hard. The human wants to help. And assume the best. And in that world, you dont necessarily end up with your normal crowd. You end up with qhoever is around. Who is this kid? Yes, he was just shooting at them. But is he a "badguy"? Did you see Rick contemplating when the people were outside? Then when the door began to open, Glenn slid in front of it, and blocked them from coming in. Did you catch Ricks expression? Seems he had a plan, and Glenn messed it up. Cause he was scared. Glenn knows he cant let that happen again. He has to trust his instincts. Trust Rick. And trust their skills. Good idea for real life even. And Carol begins to become a fav of mine at this point. I really appreciate how she "gets" Daryl. And is strong enough to be there for him. Even if it means picking at a sore spot. Cause he most certainly was there for her! Respect! Soooo happy to see you today! Dont overwhelm yourself Lacey. It takes a bit to fully recover from any illness. Even after you feel better. Dont want to talk for anyone else, but I am content with whatever you can manage! Peace

God, I hate Lori! Who the hell crashes their car on an empty road? She's been messing with Shane's head ever since she found out Rick was alive. Giving him hope that he might still have a chance with her when he doesn't. Shane will do anything to protect Lori and Carl, he loves them just as much as Rick, but the more she toys with his emotions, the more protractive and possessive he'll become. The problem is, when it comes to protecting the group, Shane sees Rick's concern for morals as a weakness. He does not care what people think, as long as they're safe, which makes him come across as erratic and unpredictable. And now Lori is whispering in Rick's ear about how Shane is becoming dangerous and essentially saying Rick needs to kill him. Shane is not dangerous, he's just trying to protect the ones he loves, and now Lori has Rick thinking that his best friend is a threat to his family. She's playing the two of them against each other. So, my question today is: What do think the group should do with the outsider?
@amyfender15 жыл бұрын
I love your comment but I will respectfully give a different opinion on Shane's love for Lori. And please know that I am just stating a different opinion, not arguing yours at all :) I agree that Shane may think that he loves Lori and Carl as much as Rick does. And I do believe that he does love them as he has been in their lives for years as Rick's partner. But until you have had a committed relationship with someone, lived with them, had a child and raised them together , and gone through the many seasons of life with someone, you don't really even know what truly loving s9meone is. If he really loved her as much as Rick he would back off, not scare her, not hurt her, and even if it meant him hurting , he would want her happiness more than his own....and even let her go if she said that's what she wanted. Which she did in the beginning. Rick loves her enough to do everything possible to find her and Carl, and then to do everything in his power to keep her safe. He doesn't ignore everyone else's safety and wellbeing in the process though like Shane because Rick isn't a total douchbag like Shane. Shane is worried about Shane. What he wants. He wants Lori and Carl so everyone else be damned, including his partner.....best friend .... "brother" as he calls Rick. Rick loves Shane enough that even though he knows about Shane and Lori and the baby, and even though he wanted to beat the crap out of Shane, he put those feelings aside and still wanted to love Shane. I just don't think Shane understands the real love that Rick has for Lori. Now Lori, she's a disaster and is playing both sides and I blame her for so much of what Shane is feeling because he thinks he can still have her....and that's her fault in my opinion and like Steve said, because Lori hid the truth it created a much bigger mess than it had to be 😊 God bless . @Duo Reacts I just love y'all, and your little girl is just too cute . She's also very blessed to have a mom and dad who are so awesome and who love each other so much 💜 I would definitely want to be on y'alls team if the sh*t hit the fan 😊

Hey guys! For me, this episode was a good ballence of action and drama, leaning a bit heavier on the drama side. Like the glances from everyone during the dining room group conversation. You can feel the wheels turning over the rift between Rick and Shane. Looks like Shane has an ally in Andrea. The writers also managed a funny moment when Maggie runs past Dad to hug Glen! Love it! The cast really nailed this episode. That is, except for Emily Kinney. She just layed there. Ha ha! Not her fault tho! You cant blame Irone Singleton for a lack of lines either. My difficult choice for best performance, in a split decision is Steven Yeun, and Lauren Cohen. Glen's fear and subsequent self revulsion at letting down Rick, and Hershel, as well as Maggie tearfullly telling the story about Beth, were amazing. In a close second, was that last scene. Laurie's seemingly devious yet sincere dialog with Rick, where she plants the idea in his head that Shane is no longer a freind. The look on Ricks face when the light bulb comes on is priceless. Lacey, Carol isn't very physically strong, but is showing a kind of toughness. I wonder if you are a carol. Underestimating your abilities but having the inner strenght to survive. Your thoughts?

Great reactions! Great commentary!! I wish that you both would do another KZbin live stream because the dynamic of the show changes season to season. Maybe do one at the beginning, middle, or end of each viewed season. You know, kind of touch base with your apocalyptic team and have some interactions. It’s just a thought. Hope y’all have a great day. Looking forward to Wednesday!!❤️

Let’s not forget, saving that young guy, proves you still have some humanity in the group and they can take care of it, should he prove them wrong. Also, let’s not let the guy, who sacrificed one of his own as Zombie bait, be a moral compass to who should live or die.

I think 100% Lori is manipulating Rick. Once she finally realized that Shane not letting the idea of him, her and Carl being together, that's when she goes to Rick and plants that seed. My opinion about Lori, I think she makes decisions based on emotions. I feel like she was rattled about dale telling her that he thinks Shane killed Otis. Rattled.. she probably didn’t feel safe. Lori is a good hearted person. She reacts based on her emotions tho. Shane is becoming more dangerous every day. Can’t blame her for being scared and wanting Rick back at the farm with her.

I do not hate Lori at all. This is what I think so far about Lori. Here we go........ I think Lori’s inability to communicate forthrightfully has led to some serious issues. I don’t like her leaving Carl unattended and leaving him in the hands of others during this apocalyptic time as well. Now that said she loves her son, she is very caring to members of the group. She is also battling the hormonal changes women go through in an even more serious stressful environment. So I get Lori in some levels but she definitely puts the D in Drama in the show. I do love that Rick was able to swallow and understand what happened between Lori and Shane at this time and make it not a big deal. Now if that holds true Rick is in my eyes a great man. It takes a great man to overlook such a taboo should I say situation. I hope I typed this out well cause I am horrible at texting these out sometimes. Lol. Where’s the microphone button so I can just chirp in and you hear my thoughts lol? Steve.
@angeltriggercolores52555 жыл бұрын
Duo Reacts I was not referring to you guys. Lol a lot of ppl comment about how horrible she is. Which I get. They have their opinions. She does leave Carl unattended a lot. I think she has slipped into a false sense of security. They feel the farm is a safe zone. Taking things for granted often backfires. Lori is human and makes human mistakes. I am just talking about the things she said to Rick in this episode and taking off after him is her fear of things going on and wanting rick back there. Every character makes decisions that I disagree with along the way. I just think this time with Lori was not intended to be what most think it was. Lol wish we could chat more. Not sure it is coming across the way I want it to. But I DO agree with you Steve! 😊

Dularr I feel in this world the walkers are just a blip in the story line or speed bump but the true danger is the survivors and human toxic behavior when the chips are down. You have to handle the matters yourself! Steve

@@DuoReacts Steve, isn't that an interesting theme about the show. The existential threat of the Walkers. The pending doom. But the walkers follow rules. But, the living are unpredictable, dangerous. A threat you cannot predict.

I think Lori probably was wanting Rick to take care of Shane because she's probably scared of what Shane might do to get back what he thinks is his. I don't think she's necessarily wrong for doing that but she could have handled it better.

What I don't like about this episode is that Shane and Andrea keep comparing Shane and Rick's rescues. Shane was with them longer so inevitably he has more "rescue" than rick. but the difference between them is that Rick is doing everything he can to protect the group and Shane would be ready to throw them under a bus just to keep Lori and Carl "safe"

Loved your discussion guys. And on that topic of who you should trust and listening to your instincts, having that gut feeling, I ask: Could Rick's good intentions have jeopardized his group's safety by bringing back Randall, the young man he saved? And I agree with what you thought about what Lori was trying to imply to Rick. It did sound like she was telling him to get rid of Shane by killing him. Oh Lori smh. This isn't looking good guys. Lacey/Steve, I completely understand your response to the question of would Steve be able to react quickly to save you. Sounds like you guys have been together just as long as my hubby and I have. I agree, that regardless of the knee pain, back pain, etc, when the job needs to get done, he does it without complaint. I try to be the same, not necessarily just to save him or the kids from danger, but just to pull my weight around the house and for the family. I feel with Steve's military training (and my husband too), there's a fine line though in how much he's willing to push himself and when he needs to think about himself and his health. Lacey, I'm sure Steve has "prepped" you on how to react in intense situations. If he's anything like my husband, that probably consists of listening and following his instructions. At what point do you stop listening (for instance, what if he tells you to back off, he can handle it), and when you know you need to take action to help? At 25:25, good catch that Hershel called them walkers for the first time! I never realized it just now myself, and I rewatched this yesterday. The Big What Would You Do is probably the best description of how this show plays out! The big story lines, the big plot movements revolve around this question, this decision, and it's almost like a choose your own adventure, except we don't actually get to choose, we just get to pick a side and see how it plays out. Interesting how you picked up on Lori planting this kill shane seed in Rick's head, I honestly never saw it that way, but I can totally see it. Does she have this evil sort of intent, I'm not entirely sure, but it's definitely coming off that way. Love your commentary on the Daryl-Carol scene.

Lacey u are correct. Lori definitely was planting that seed. Also Shane said that them getting together was a long time coming. Meaning they been attractive to each other or they were already at it.

I think them being attracted to one another is only seen that way by Shane. I don't believe Lori and him had anything going before but I think Shane with his huge ladies ego thinks there was.
@alamoja5 жыл бұрын
@@Carrietbean nope. She had to be attracted to him
@Carrietbean5 жыл бұрын
@@alamoja I always thought the entire point to the first 2 seasons and Shane's character arc was to show how people change or what route they are "forced" or feel they're forced to take once an apocalypse hits. I think Shane probably cared for Lori but was no further than his best friend's girl care for her before. I thought that was why it was so gut-wrenching and sad because this would never be happening with the three of them if the apocalypse hadn't happened. Lori and Rick seem pretty shocked that this is happening to their friend, leads me to believe it wasnt like that at all before.
