Back in the first season when Rick, Daryl, Glenn and T Dog went back into Atlanta for Merle and the bag of guns that Rick dropped, there was a little exchange between Daryl and Glenn. Great reaction guys. Did you notice the scars on Daryl's back when Merle ripped his shirt? Both of them were beaten by their father when they were younger. I wasn't sure if you noticed that. Although Daryl was neglected and abused when he was younger, in this Walker apocalyptic world, he's become a hero.

@BenRai2k5 жыл бұрын
In a deleted scene on youtube, Lori's ghost does become a walker while he kisses her outside the prison fence. Rick recoils in fright and she has a tear in her eyes. Obviously haunting Rick's mind that she was devoured. But I guess they decided if he saw her as a walker, it would not make much sense for Rick to continue "looking" for her, since she'd be a monster now and not his wife.

This is one of my favorite season 3 episodes. I love the Daryl and Merle interactions with Daryl finally standing up to his big brother and realizing that his *real* brother is Rick and his family is at the prison. Then Axel's death coming out of nowhere is crazy and this attack really ups the intensity of the season. You can just see the badass in Rick's eyes at the end. He's ready to kill the one eyed a-hole. Also, yay for Maggie getting the big guard tower kill and Daryl for saving Rick! Enjoyed your reaction as always!!

That's how PTSD works. You find moments of clarity through the funk. As far as Merle goes him helping Rick is simple, he has to! He loves Daryl and Daryl made it clear that's his family and Merle is smart enough to know that he has to step up or step out or he loses Daryl again. Glenn and Maggie I feel like her issue was more like she's traumatized and she shouldn't have to make Glenn feel better and fix him while she's broken. She needs time and it's been about how Glenn feels. Their all broken at this point, I mean lets face it, they all probably have some form of PTSD it's just they don't all have clarity at the same time😂 This episode is one of my favorites and it is my all time favorite Daryl moment believe it or not. Not just because he stood up to Merle or because he saved that family. But because that was the broken and beat down little boy Daryl we've had, Merle pushed him enough that Daryl recognized that and that he didn't have to be chasing down what's always held him back. We get the grown up Daryl now lol idk if that makes sense but abuse victims such as myself always fight for what's normal for us even though it's bad for us. Like Carrol when Ed got beat down by Shane. She was crying and saying sorry to him. This is why Carol and Daryl are bonded. And I love it❤

Awsome insight all around. I had ro re-read it a couple of times, because it was so profound. You know, I've said many times, that while TWD has some rediculous hoke scenes, one thing they really nail, and I mean nail, is the psychology of suffering, fear, loss, and war. This is a huge part of my addiction to the show. I also loved Chupacrobra in season 2. The dynamic between these brothers, and how their experience prepared Daryl for this world. I'm sorry to hear about your abuse. Hope your in a better place now.

@@gravitypronepart2201 Yes indeed they do know how to traumatize their cast lol And thanks so much for you comment, I left that life almost 15yrs ago and never looked back. it's a bit harsh to call rick's 'ghost lori quest' bullshit. is it annoying for us watchers? yes it is, but rick is just human and he has been through so much trauma that he finally broke down. I bet he hadn't had one good night of sleep since they left the CDC. he had just one tough thing after the other, having the responsibility over so so many people, to keep them safe, to keep them nurished etc. and when the prison seemed safe at first, he finally thought he could maybe lean back, go through all his mental trauma, maybe even clear things up with lori, and then boom, another gut punch, she died. she is just the symbol his brain makes up to get him through a nervous breakdown, I think he is allowed to do some crazy things that are totally not helping at the moment. he's just human, in a world where no therapist can help you, and the outside world wants you dead. but I do love your reactions, nice as always :)

Love how the Gov uses Andrea's speech and proposing that she lead for a bit... to coerce her into being right where he wants her. If you remember is season one Daryl didn't care to know the difference when Glenn said he was Korean, character development. I love that scene it gives you and insight in to Daryl's growth, his relationship with his brother, their past and why they are the way they are. Glenn is stepping us as Rick's 3rd now that Daryl's gone and Rick's losing it but he's too emotionally involved in the situation. I understand he's angry but he leaves the group in a very vulnerable position. That episode where you start to like Axel. I love how emotionally invested people are in the scene with Rick and Hershel that they never suspect the attack even though the audience the Governor's men are gone.

I think Merle finally realized Daryl is no longer a follower. Daryl is a leader among the prison group. Rick didn’t replace Meryl. Rick & the group looked to Daryl for his input. Daryl’s opinion matters to the group. As a result, Daryl became a better person. Meryl is still the self destructive @$$hole & the Governor threw Meryl to the wolves first chance he got. The Governor didn’t even hesitate or ask Meryl what happened. He immediately thinks Meryl was a traitor. Also, I think Meryl knew their dad beat Daryl too. Daryl realizes now that Meryl will leave again & again. If it benefits Meryl, he will leave Daryl again. Therefore Daryl decides to leave him first. When Meryl gets to the prison realizes the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Daryl is his ticket in & it means he needs to start doing right by Daryl.

Merle wasn't there to help Rick. He wasn't there to "put his best foot forward" He was there because, of anything in this F-d up world mattered to him in that moment, it was family. "Maybe I'm following you to certain death, 'cause they're (the people inside) going to kill me if the walkers don't, but I got your back little brother" That's what I always took from this as Merle's motivation. As much as it was a turning point for him to a degree, his motives could be explained many ways. But we already have a strong bond between them, and it's what would let him frame it in his mind to do something so reckless.

Your reactions are always so interesting, you don’t hold back on your emotions and opinions and it’s so nice. I actually started watching Breaking Bad because I saw that you guys do reactions to it! I haven’t had time to watch the latest livestream of yours, but I watched the one before that and I heard that you were thinking about reacting to Stranger Things, which makes me very happy!☺️ Here are some other great shows I’d love for you to give a chance: The 100 - It has a few cheesy first episodes but it gets pretty incredible. 13 Reasons Why - It’s very dark but I think it’s a show all adults/parents should at least try to watch. Orphan Black - An incredible show that truly has it all, a must watch. Orange Is The New Black - A great show that just like Orphan Black has a bit of everything. Hope you add them to a watchlist or at least consider them when you have more time! I love your reactions and it would be so amazing to have you watch and analyze not just one of my favorite shows (The Walking Dead) and an upcoming favorite (Breaking Bad), but also some more of my favorites! I’m sure you’d find them interesting. Love, Elsa from Sweden 🇸🇪

zutterly Elsa! Thanks for commenting and sure wish I had heard from you before. Lacey and I hope to someday visit your country as well! That said thanks for your input on the shows. The shows you have mentioned we will definitely try our best to get too. We also have a show that’s coming out on Netflix which we will be giving a shot at is the “The Witcher” check that out the trailer and let me know if that also catches your interest. But once we wrap on these we will open up other shows as well. We also will be doing actual movies provided by our discord team from Patreon. I am excited about doing those and they will be full reaction videos as well. So thank you so much for your comment and much love! Steve

I watched the trailer for The Witcher and it’s not something I’d usually search for but it seems quite interesting and if you’ll be watching I will definitely watch with you! :) Now I’m off to watching your newest The Walking Dead reaction! Lacey- "I get it. She's pissed that she has to explain herself as to why she made the decision she made to protect him, and he's acting like..." I love how Lacey refuses to utter a bad thing about Glenn even if he's acting like a douche to his girlfriend.

Rick just lost his wife horribly he was forced to kill his best friend. he has barely had time to get used to the new world he had to become leader of a group that relies on him to survive. his wife cheated on him with his best friend who went mad. his mental state is understandable

Lotus Blomst , I don't think they mean any harm but they do need to realize that some people, at least myself is literally in love with that character more then any character ever. I know it's weird but I do tend to get very angry with people that talks negatively about him. Lacey hasn't yet but I do think she's getting annoyed at him. My husband is bipolar, thank goodness for his meds or he will be seeing our deceased dog Sparky😂 Also my husband tends to get very jealous of a fake character that I totally adore.

It annoyed me when they kept saying rick needs to snap out of this "bullshit". It's so obvious that he has ptsd and is really struggling. Thank you for saying something. I thought they would understand this.

Hopefully the attack on the Prison teaches Glenn that he can't go off on his own against the Governor. He is right about one thing though; they can't just pack up and leave. The Governor would kill them all (or worse) if he were to catch them out in the open. If the fence/gate was outfitted with the right materials, and the breach in the back sealed, then the prison could be a proper fortress.

1. I didn't like that Axel died. I wanted to see him do more for the group and see what he's capable of doing. I never got to see him work on anything. He just did alot of talking to Carol. I wanted them to become really good friends lol. RIP Axel. 2. I'll admit it. That Governor had a REALLY good surprise attack on Rick's group. Especially with that "walker bomb" that came out of the truck. That was sick. He's an evil, evil man. He don't give a shit. He just lets the dice roll. Not once did he flinch. Un-freaking-believable. He lives for this shit. 3. Lacey, I loved your reaction to when Rick had 3 walkers on him and when Daryl and Merle come to his rescue. 4. And that look on Rick's face at the end of him just staring down, pissed off. That's the look I LOVE from him. I want Rick to fuck the Governor up! Kick him in the freaking balls and take out his other eye. Hate that guy. 5. I would also like to see Merle redeem himself. Even though he's a racist asshole, he's smart, tough as nails and can read people really well just like Daryl. He would be great as backup support for Rick and the group too. I hope he can provide Rick all the necessary info about the Governor. I hope Merle has got some juicy scoop on the Governor. - Yvette

I love how when Rick can't lead Daryl steps up right away, and when Rick can't lead and Daryl isn't there, Glenn steps up right away. The only problem with Glenn right now is that he's too emotional to be leading. Normally I would say he could, but he's not handling their current circumstance well at all and neither is Rick. I love how the three of them always step up so readily for the group though. Remember when back at the camp in Atlanta Daryl told them they had the attack coming? He was mad back then about what happened to Merle and here he is telling Merle he had what Rick did to him coming and that he cut his own hand off and left on his own. I think this was a big moment for Merle too because Andrea told him the same Daryl is telling him right now - that they went back for him, and Andrea also said Daryl stepped up for the good of the group. Now he's really seeing what Andrea meant. Daryl has come such a long way and I think Merle is seeing that too. It makes me think the reason Merle came back wasn't just for Daryl, but because he's seeing Daryl did change and maybe he's thinking he can change too? He definitely dropped that superior attitude when he saw Daryl's scars and he definitely sounded legitimately regretful about it. "Thank god for Daryl." I did say once, "thank goodness for Daryl Dixon". 😂

@DuoReacts5 жыл бұрын
Laura Kay Why is that? Lol. Steve
@sallyatticum5 жыл бұрын
Oh, lots of reasons! For one thing, though, others are talking about how useful he would be, but you, it seems, would rather lock him away, not kill him, not use him. I think that is interesting. Is it to punish him? To protect others from him? Would you let him out during "war" time? Would you lock him away indefinitely? I do criminal defense, and have worked many capital murder cases, so these issues interest me.
@DuoReacts5 жыл бұрын
Me personally... I think I would have locked him up just while getting a feel for how he would integrate into the prison, and while I discussed with the group how we should handle him. also if I wasn't there ... - Lacey
@DuoReacts5 жыл бұрын
Merle is a bit of a loose cannon from past experiences. I am on the same lines as Lacey. Integration into the group would be a slow process and not until we all felt reassured he wouldn’t be a threat to our group. I would not for a minute want any one in the group to be assaulted or cause an uproar in an already very bad situation. Yes Merle would be a huge asset to this group in a battle. But there is always the chance he could be a risk to your group. Yes locking him up. Giving him opportunities to integrate in all the while explaining why this is being done and letting that integration process play out. Laura Kay you had my brain a rolling! Steve
