My late Father loved this show... I found the series at Walmart by chance... that was the last Christmas gift I ever gave him... when I see this series... I think back to simpler times, and each show really teaches a valuable lesson in human relationships, love, and hard times. I wouuld love to go to the V Mountains some Fall to see the beauty. Thanks for posting this theme. What a great show it is. Tv these days is so lame

How could i forget during the black and white TV screen in the 70s. Remind me everyone were small we sat and watched together this favourite programme. The never ending stories.
I'd like to see one from when the kids were younger. That way it's more accurate, since Will Geer and Richard Thomas would still have really been in the show.

Me and my family watched this show every Wednesday night. My dad would make popcorn and treat us to Bubble Up. Remember Bubble Up?

@sambda oh yes! we have backdated technology by then. Our colour on TV only appeared in the very late 70s. But, the black and white TV was so classic to the waltons itself. We enjoyed so much.'' Those were the days - Mary Hopkins ''

I loved this version. I was hesitant at first to watch it, thinking it wouldn't be better than what they used, but I love it! I would have liked to seen a picture of Jim Bob driving his car (liked you used at the end) instead of him being all fancied up, and Elizabeth seems to have clips from two different seasons (she seems younger when she's with Ike Godsey), but it's great. I don't think Richard Thomas was still in the show when the kids were as old as they are in this version but still good.

Also.... Will Geer shot...need a closer shot. Really good bits... slowing down of Richard Thomas shot before the cross-fade. Shot of Baldwin ladies is really nice.

@JimBobWaltonLover I think it means the earlier seasons, when the kids were young and the whole family was together, were the best seasons. Once John Boy departed, grandpa was gone, momma was gone, the kids were older, grandma was always visiting relatives, the show wasn't quite the same.

I agree. there really are no family TV shows like this anymore. I don't think there has been since LHOTP & The Waltons ended. there were a couple maybe in the 90s, like Dr Quinn & so on, but tv shows like this are lost today.

I think the sadness maybe comes from having nostalgia of tv shows never being as good since and the face that a lot of the family have now passed away. I used to absolutely adore the mum as a child Barry 35 now

Brilliant! A few constructive comments which I hope you'll take in the right spirit.. Colour balance is slightly warmer on some shots than on others. Jim-Bob shot too "long" (as in long-shot) - think actor would want more of a CU. Ike shot - Elisabeth in there just confuses things - find a solo shot of Joe Conley. Apart from that, as good as the professionals could have done it! You've used the best of the theme variants too.
