WoW's story has always had that reputation of zipping around. We're fighting Illidan, oop, now we're fighting Arthas for some reason, oh now Deathwing's back gotta fight him. I honestly really liked key aspects from one expansion leading to another like Legion's sword and Xal'atath being key aspects of BFA and War Within. Makes me hope we can do a longer story with more coherence between expansions which looks like just what they've set out to accomplish.

Have you not done the quests? It sounds like you never played those early expansions and I really suggest you do it! It blends together the story so well where you KNOW why you are going through the dark portal, you KNOW why you had to travel to northrend. Cata was a big deviation because outside of one quest in vanilla, deathwing wasn’t mentioned.

They mentioned a plan to get content out faster. My prediction is that these expansions will all be smaller than the typical xpac and last more like 18-24 months rather than 30. That's why they feel they can reveal them all now

The story of Anduin is one of the most beautiful narratives in WoW. It revolves around a boy's transformation into a man. I don't comprehend why influencers like Asmongold criticize this character. Maybe because he is very unfamiliar with such a transformation? There are numerous misguided individuals who denounce entire expansions and storylines simply because they blindly follow a morron who decided to disparage something due to personal grievances or hemorrhoid inflammation at the time.

Turned into a king, spent the whole BFA being a pacifist spreading the power of friendship, totally making the entire expansion of "pure warcraft" and faction war completely pointless, and then when he tried to spread the power of friendship to Sylvanas he became the "we have lich king at home version" and now after spending time in the shadowlands doing dailies in the maw he suddenly comes back to talk about his feelings... Totally boring

His character moment in the current cinematic was very underwhelming, the emotional breakdown they wanted to communicate to us is made up, Anduin wasn't nearly as conflicted about these things at the end of SL. Overall, the writing of this world and its characters has been pretty lackluster, especially in the past years, even though it is a large part of the game, so it should be important

Going back and forth old world and present time and pissing on the original lore and messing up with things. This game got so outdated like 4-5 expansions ago and all that is left is this money milking business and they do know how to milk their loyal customers dry. Luckily I had a wake up call and put this game where it belongs: inside a random cardboard box stored in a dark room under all the other junk you really do not need anymore but keep them because you once spent money on them. I played since early TBC and this game used to be my life. Then I quit partially.. returned in shadowlands, played it like 3 days and felt sad for the money I wasted. I even bought dragonflight, fast leveled few new characters on new server, got really bored really fast and asked myself "what TF are you doing with this old piece of..." and again felt sad because of the money I wasted. Never again. old shit that got too old and uninteresting and outdated belongs to a trash can. Life goes on.

Probably. Once Azeroth (hatches???) awakens, what exactly happens to life on the planet, given that planets with Titans are basically equivalent to a womb or placenta. I'd imagine we're going to have to find a new planet without a Titan in, and since Azeroth is the last one and already world souls were rare before Sargarers, it wouldn't be challenging to do so.

WoW Lore Nerd here: I havent played retail since it WoD and I havent kept up with the lore since Shadowlands, can someone explain to me the change in Anduin's Appearence, and why he is so spiritually extinguished?

Brief explanation: In Legion, Varian dies, so Anduin becomes king at the end of the war. In BFA, Anduin fights the Horde as the new king. In Shadowlands, The Jailer, the main antagonist, brainwashes Anduin and turns him into a special kind of death knight; Anduin is saved by his friends, but his spirit is shattered after having turned into the exact thing he swore to fight against, so he left his throne to have a journey of healing and self-discovery (Turalyon ruled in his stead). What we see in this cinematic is the outcome of his journey: not having healed at all.
