Things to consider: How many other front persons can work the crowd in English and Spanish? How many drummers can step over to a piano and play (and sing) a ballad? How many bands have bass players that are 14 years old? And if you are not sure Ale is a good bass player, check her out at 8 years old: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hl6spoWEi7KmrpI

Hey FredGreat post and great questions, there are very few that can accomplish what The Warning has done, I do have a response/thought 1. The late Selena was very good in both languages, 2. A drummer that can step out front with incredible beautiful piano ballads is Phil Collins-Genesis- the roof is leaking...why can't it wait till morning...please don't ask..etc...etc) 3. If there are other bands with 14 year old's, I do not care even care, just give me Ale V all day long!!!! Thank you sir.

On their live chat for us Patreons a couple of days ago, Rudy, their manager told them that he honestly doesn't think they are able to write a bad song, and I couldn't agree more ! Their standards are so unbelivable high, and their songs doesn't all sound the same either ! They want to evolve, they want to explore, and they are so incredible talanted that they can do so, and still sound amazing !

Enjoyed your Reaction of "The Warning". I've been following them for several years since seeing them do the Metallica cover "Enter Sandman". They have really grown on me having watched most of their music videos and personal videos which they do quite regularly for their fans while literally watching them grow into amazing young ladies. Contagious and addictive are their personalities and would make any parent proud. Hope to see them live in Washington DC on October 30, 2020 barring any cancellations due to the plague. Much love for these gals!!!

Ryan: In the song "Queen of the Murder Scene" the word you didn't understand was the Japanese word Korosu, which means "to Kill'.. Pau picked it up from watching Japanese anime.
@jbartyparty73984 жыл бұрын
Ryan, you did a great job with this because your commentary is spot on in every regard. You've managed to encapsulate, in rather succinct and sincere fashion, all of the key reasons why we love The Warning, and why more people should, or at the very least appreciate what they are trying to do and how they go about doing it. I wish I could get some of my stubborn friends to watch this with your commentary so they might better understand why these ladies are so special without me having to convince them by choosing the right song, or the most incisive but pithy commentary. Thanks for being a fan, makes me even prouder to be in this relative select group of people who follow the band closely. \m/ \m/

@@Kimobubby No worries mate...it was all in the delivery, not only pithy but also quite sincere. It doesn't have to be elaborate, super grandiose prose to resonate. You captured the essence of what needed (if anything *needed* saying) to be said. IOW, if you're going to talk a little, I think it was beautifully measured and the points were salient. The Warning informed us Sunday on Patreon they have signed with Republic Records under the LAVA label with Jason Flom. They have also signed with Chirs Smith at 21 Entertainment in Toronto as their international agent / manager. Rudy merely stepped aside to let Chris on the team. Chris saw the girls when they played at the Whiskey in Hollywood. Eight bars into the opening song he tugged on Rudy's arm and said he has never seen anything like the girls and he wanted to be part of this. Rudy didn't know who Chris was and said the show was just starting and just walked away. Chris met with them after the show and talked with the girls, Rudy and Luis. He also visited them in Monterrey where he saw their basement studio and the girls played for him. Jason Flom saw the girls last year at the Mercury Lounge in NY. He stayed until the final song, Narcissista and told Rudy he has never watched a group perform so many songs before or ever stayed so late at performance. He met with them the next day for 2 hours. It took 7 months to negotiate the contract. Chris Smith said it was unusual for the artists to be involved in reading and negotiating a contract, but the girls were directly involved in all the decisions. The biggest hang up was Patreon. The girls, Rudy and Luis were adamant on having control over their Patreon platform. Rudy told Republic they would not sign if they couldn't keep Patreon. In the end the three little girls from Monterrey Mexico pushed against the giant Republic Records and Lava and got their way. It shows the integrity and loyalty the girls, Rudy and their parents have. They weren't going to dump their Patreon supporters for a contract. It is really touching knowing I support not only such musical talent but such young people with such depth of character. Since you follow the girls so close I thought you would like to know. Cheers!

Very salient point at about the 8:15 mark sir. Same with the Dakota show from early 2018, which many Patreon members received as a downloadable reward. A little piece of history as songs like Wildfire, River's Soul, Our Mistakes and Runaway haven't been played much since. A few of them were played in the basement 1-Yr Anniversary show (also available to all patrons who pledged a $1), but obviously the sound quality wasn't nearly as good. Although it was a damn good bit of fun!! Thanks for doing this Ryan. Listening this time with my air pods and I'm hearing things I didn't hear streaming it through to my TV on NYE. Drums still a little low in the mix though.

Now that I'm seeing it again, I finally caught it! That's how good you gals are!😁 Really enjoyed this (again), as I grabbed the vid just a couple days after it dropped on their channel. I'd be a mess on those two if I could ever make it to one of their shows.😢😉 Thanks a bunch Ryan, great recording, even if you had to deal with the commercials, etc. If you use Firefox, either AdBlock Plus or Ublock Origin work very well for getting rid of those. I don't want the band to lose any ad revenue, but on a long video like this, the ad placement sucks (like right in the middle of a song), thanks to YT, so I'll sometimes cut them off just to get an uninterrupted show. I believe originally Survive was meant to be the last song. But towards the end of the show you can hear Dany's voice starting to break. Because P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C. is a very demanding song they skipped it in the QOTMS sequence and jumped to Hunter, on which you can hear her struggle to stay on key . After that there were 2 Pau songs to give Dany a little rest. Also, her ending of The End is just a second shorter. IF I'm not mistaking Pau is singing a little more backing on Survive than I remember from earlier concerts to back up Dany. They then finished with P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C. because they wanted to complete QOTMS for their fans and Patreons, but you can definitely hear Dany struggle again. But that's what I think. I wasn't there. 🙄

It does mean "kill", but it's specifically used when being given as an order to "kill". It's, apparently a specialty verb in Japanese? Someone familiar with Japanese spelled that all out, way back, when they first released the song. That's where I got my info. If it's wrong, I'm just repeating. If it's not, then I know what I'm talking about. ; )
