Nice reaction! Just saw them half a day ago live, sold out Euro tour… Automatic Sun is a banger! All the new songs are great live! The riffs, the sound of guitar and bass (more distortion on Ale‘s bass in some songs), and Dany‘s great voice! Still feel hyped from their performance! Thanks, greetings from Germany 👍⚡️🤘

Dany says: "It's about missing someone and the energy this person gives you. You're drawn into their gravitational pull and brightness - like an automatic sun." The video was put together in one week. They shot it at Tecate Pa’l Norte in Monterrey on March 31st. The video team is led by Beto Ramos, Pau’s drum teacher, and Iván Chávez, recent graduate of the University of Monterrey film school. The team they lead is top notch. Their first major TW video was the Metropolitan concert. Dan Lancaster is listed in the credits as a co-producer of the song, a lyrics contributor and providing keyboards. Dan was a touring keyboardist for Muse.

Dany's Fender Baritone Guitar and Ali's Inferno Bass Guitar are both Drop Tuned to (A) for the extra heavy sound.. Pau's Quad Drum Roll at the Bass Break Down is Awesome. Wow. The Warning -The Best... lMOP

They all do great things in this song, but Dany's vocals are what stand out for me. Her perfect cadence with the lyrics, strong projection in the chorus, then her sultry whisper-soft voice in the bridge, and even her just saying "Yeah" in the breakdown at the end. She gave the song exactly what it needed. The Warning should be on their way to the top now and by all rights, they should already be there.

This song, to me, is a mix of a female version of Nirvana-ish-style singing mixed with Muse-style guitar and bass, and a bit of The Beatles-style of backing vocals. Together, they managed to mix three different styles to produce a banger of a song!

From a photo of the setlist in Europe, it shows: AUTOMATIC SUN -> BARI DROP A Confirming that Dany is playing a custom shop Strat with humbuckers and tuned in a perfect fifth lower (A1-D2-G2-C3-E3-A3) and since Ale also changes bass for this song, it seems that she is also in drop A to harmonize with Dany. So while it is clearly influenced by Muse and I would also say Royal Blood, both of which they toured Europe with last year, it is also clearly The Warning considering that uncommon guitar and tunings.

I feel that Lava should push them more as an Alternative band where they'll get more opportunities to get noticed. The Alternative charts are filled with female bands of all types of styles, they can easily fit right in. The problem with placing them in the metal category is that THEY'RE NOT METAL! Never have been. They may have some metal riffs here and there, but they're primarily NOT metal. Hard rock and metal fans will expect them to sound metal, but will be confused after listening to them. Also, let's be honest here.... Metal and Hard rock are historically overwhelmingly a high testosterone male dominated genre. So just starting from that POV is limiting their exposure to potential fans. Alternative rock however is wide open! I can go down the list of songs that would dominate the Alt Rock charts, songs such as: 23, Amour, KAK, Automatic Sun, S!ck, Z, Breathe, Revenant, etc. etc. Those songs don't fit in with the metal scene, but would be anthems in the Alternative genre. Sorry for the long rant. But YES I agree. This should be played all over the radio in every Alt rock station, besides Billie Ellis, FooFighters, Lizzie MacAlpine, The Donnas, etc. etc.

Duh, The Warning love Muse. Of course, they are going to put some of that influence to work on new songs to broaden their horizons. I view this song as a hit. It is unique in their catalog and is very well thought out.
