I have been informed this song is about addiction & I can see it now! Plus I can relate! but due to certain words & phrases I viewed it differently..oops lol plus I would never imagine these young ladies knowing anything about addiction like that but I guess that just shows their amazing songwriting ability.

Exactly, they are amazing to be able to write about this subject when Pau was just 13 years old. This is not the only song in this album that makes you wonder how they can write such mature songs for their age.
@cardmandw3 жыл бұрын
The young ladies like to write about dark subjects. They get this from being avid readers. They make characters they find interesting and write from their point of view. From what I've seen and heard in real life they are extremely happy and well adjusted and have amazing parents.

Pau has commented that she likes hearing different interpretations of her songs. She and her sisters deliberately leave some ambiguity in many of their songs so that people can apply the lyrics to different things. But yes, in this case the 13 year old Pau was writing about addiction. Not sure if she was thinking drugs, alcohol or both but I have heard people from that background comment how much this song touched them and that she got it exactly right. BTW, where she is smiling at the beginning it is because the crowd is singing her song back to her. Always a compliment to a songwriter to hear their music being sung by their audience.

Black Holes is about an addiction. Specifically someone feeling so hopeless in their addiction that they don't want help. I've been there. Luckily I got the help I needed. Now I have 13 years sobriety. This song and it's antithesis *Show Me the Light* both saved my sobriety and clinched The Warning as one of the my all time favourite bands. Pau wrote this song at 13 years old never experiencing addiction herself. Empathy on a scale that is very rare.

Great choice! "Black Holes" is about the tragedy of drug addiction. This set at Dakota Bar (2018) is, IMHO, the best ever live showcase for TW's first LP, "XXI Century Blood". The band was at the top of their game this night in Monterrey!

I second that, the Dakota Bar is the place to go for performances regarding their first LP.

Written by Pau when she was about 13 about addiction , drugs or alcohol .One or two people said it was a true story which happened to a friend of the Warning family and sadly lost their life and that is what inspired Pau to write it , but also disputed by some fans , not sure either way .

A song written by a 13 year old who never experienced it. Shows how empathetic Pau, along with Dany and Alé can be. They showed us over and over how badass they are, but the also show in moments like this how big their hearts are. Fau, you should check out "Copper Bullets" , "Show Me The Light" and "Shattered Heart" all from this show at Dakota Bar. Another you should check is their official video for "XXI Century Blood", the title track off of their first album

Truly amazing that these 3 can address such mature issues of addiction, loss of our social skills (XXI Century Blood), and the whole QotMS album is amazing. The songwriting at such a young age boggles the mind.

The way Dany uses her guitar to subtlety enhance the song and her backing vocals are haunting. Ale bridges the whole song together. Pau....what can I say other than WOW!

Btw. There are some really sad guys who constantly thumbs down every video of TW, like within minutes. They don’t have a life but are stucked in their pity life. One day they’ll also die and no-one will remember any good acts of them as they spent their entire lives with being negative and who remember such a douches

Such a great ballad, Pau and Dany read a lot of novels and then able to feel the story so deeply as to bring a different breadth in what they've learned and conveying it to musical inspiration. Ale cements the instrumentation so well keeping the melody between Dany and Pau in perfect time. Great job FaulPlay as always. 👍

The hopelessness of an addict at the end of his/her rope. You'll have to forgive her smiling in the beginning, as she was happy to hear the crowd was sing along with her. The lyrics you had were a little off though... The love the used to shine so bright was shattered like a satellite and the venom starts to swallow me whole Like black holes
@crimsontide35023 жыл бұрын
Great job as always brother. Also your comments about hating on this band are spot on. To have this much talent at this age and to be sisters is completely mind blowing. Probably never witness anything like The Warning in several lifetimes. Alabama rocks with The Warning and FP reactions

Awesome performance by Pau, I love her piano work. Such a meaningful song written by someone so young, these girls are so amazing, the bass and guitar are so chilling in this song. My favorite song from the Dakota Bar is "Shattered Heart", give that one a go, and get ready for some awesomeness. They also performed "Atlas Rise", a nice heavier song.

Yeah she's amazing on the piano. Fun facts All three play piano, Dany and Pau say Ale is the best. Dany also plays the saxophone.
@Highrider_Phil_C3 жыл бұрын
@@cardmandw Funner facts: Ale plays Sax also, she said in a recent live stream that she hasn't played for a long time.
@cardmandw3 жыл бұрын
@@Highrider_Phil_CCool didn't know that. I have seen Dany play sax on that Christmas song for school, love her reaction when she realizes the audience is applauding her. Even funner fact( I always seem to get into a who's a bigger fan or who knows more debates) Lol. I'm as big as a fan there is, but I don't know everything about them. Before Ale took up the bass she wanted to learn to play the harp.
@Highrider_Phil_C3 жыл бұрын
@@cardmandw I take it you've seen them playing the piano, way way back when they were really young.
@cardmandw3 жыл бұрын
@@Highrider_Phil_C Oh yeah, many times. One of the first things I pitch to my friends I bug to check out The Warning is that they were classically trained on piano from an early age. Again they were so adorable. At the end the Dany and Pau duet when they try to be serious and Dany cracks up, then they bust out with those rock out symbols. Priceless. And an even tinier Ale looking up at who I'm guessing is Mom with a did I do good look.

Here I thought I was immune to this song by now, but no.... it STILL brings me to tears every.damn.time.😢 This amazing young lady wrote this when she was 13. How crazy is that? Pau is truly the queen of the rock ballad! I know, it sounds sappy, but she truly gets it, and she can push those emotions out better than anyone I've ever known. OK, I'm done whining now.. just wanted to get this out there.😉 🎵🎶 🤘😍🤘

These young women also worked their butts off to achieve what they have. They gave up school for home schooling (all graduated early), friends, dances, going out, and childhood to achieve their dream. Committed hours and hours of time from 7 and 8 years old! Have been doing their own songs since 14, 12, and 9 including their own concerts!! Amazing kids who have become women in the public eye and crushed it!!!! 🤘❤😊

Good reaction and who cares about the haters. Pau wrote this about addiction when she was 13 or just 14. Takes a listen to Show me the Light which Pau also wrote at 13 just to see if se could write a love song and she wrote what could stand up as a great one even though they don't perform it any more, some one else should record it.

FaulPlay you're talking about hating, The Warning have Haters in their own Country because they only sing in English, so in 2019 they released a single their first song in Spanish called "Narcisista" in the song they are basically giving those Haters the Middle Finger and telling them to Shut the Hell Up, The song Kicks Ass.

You can bounce around between the songs of TW second album called 21 Century Blood (XXICB) but try to follow advices for best audio as almost all of the songs are from live concerts. Best is to use that are from The Warnings own KZbin page. They have two music videos, one is the title track from XXICB and the other is their cover of Pretenders by Foo Fighters. My favorite song is Exterminated... Then they have an EP Escape the mind from 2015 that are showing their early work
