I love both version- the passion of the concert version but the crisp/clean of the acoustic version. I also love being able to better hear Ale sing on the acoustic version and LOVE that acoustic bass guitar!!

The passion just pours out of everything they do,both on & off stage. Dany's ability to become the the essence of every song is amazing. Check out Hunter,you can do a 3fer,Ale on lead vocals,Dany on lead vocals & the acoustic version. Great reaction,there's no doubt these girls are going to be huge! ⚡⚡⚡

Hey Tyler! If you want to catch more of their personalities, watch the Quarantine Concert, a live stream performance from their practice room (The Warning Cave). They are sweet, funny, and in Dany's case goofy. It's a great performance, and Ale even shows her cute personality! And as far as beard stories go, I let mine grow for 10 months and caught grief from my family every day. Shaved it off last month and no one noticed. 😒

Yea i got grief from mine for a while... but then they got used to it. Now I'm getting grief for shaving it 😂

If anything, this has to be the official 'rock anthem' of The Warning. They totally pull the audience into the song with the *'Just Break, Break, Just Break Apart!'* I like the acoustic version ok, but this is live concert rockin' material, when it comes right down to it! 🤘😎🤘They put so much emotion, talent, and conviction into everything they do, ya just gotta love 'em to death!😍😁👍👍

Good to see you back to The Warning, Tyler! The thing that really separates them from other bands is their songwriting. They write such good songs, you could play them in any style and they would still sound good. So much talent.

You brought up a good point I have also noticed. This band has great instruments and they put them to good use! I do know that Warning fans has given them some pieces to use. I think it has made a huge difference and The Warning Army thanks them. Great job Tyler.

The thing that’s easy to miss in the acoustic version is that Ale is singing the high falsetto part. It doesn’t stand out a lot put it’s beautiful!
@johnafagerquist82354 жыл бұрын
Yes, somewhere in the deep annals of the internet, I saw two, albeit small, Christmasy The Warning videos. One is a brief shot of Dany playing saxophone at her school christmas concert, and the other is of Rudy, their manager, singing while the ladies play (it's quite good, actually). There could be more. There's probably something less "obscure", and I'm just not remembering it right now. Anybody?

Watching both video back to back makes it easy to realize how much better their vocals are after working with a vocal coach.

I can tell you loved the acoustic version. Its so well made. Dani's voice is amazing, it really shines in this version. What can you say about my Warning girls. They are beyond talented. Cant wait for the new album to come out already, its gonna be epic!!!! :) I see your Lucille bat in the background. I'm a Walking Dead fan also. :)

Tyler, your analysis of the acoustic version of Sinister Smiles was absolutely spot on. The more you strip it back the more the talent shines. I’ve had a beard for decades and it becomes a big part of your identity, so I can relate to your mourning as you stood over the sink with a handful of “you”.

Dany was born to front a band, I think she could do stand up comedy if she wanted. The whole band is absolutely fearless.

This one makes my top 5 from the album. I love Ale’s roar at the end of the concert version. She is usually rather stoic, but she was really into the song on that night. I do agree, that the acoustic version of a great song can be even better than the electric (but that may be my love for Willie Nelson coming out).
@jimorcutt91814 жыл бұрын
I was wondering if anyone was ever going to mention Ale's enthusiasm at the end!!
@glengibbs19494 жыл бұрын
Thanks for pointing that out Roy. I had never noticed that before. What an iconic photo that would make - ferocious! We have seen other photos of Ale that reveal her inner lion!

As much as I love Pau, I could never be her best friend. I like to talk too much. Pau's best friend has to be a very quiet person who would rather not talk at all.😉Congrats on the acting gigs. If it's anything we might be able to see you in, let us know when/if you can.

thanks for your reaction, there are 3 more songs in acoustic version, which are: red hands never fade, hunter and the end.

I love that moment just before the drum fill when Dany points at Pau as if to say ‘look what my little Sister can do’! They’re all very cool, but Ale is Uber cool 👌 PS, if you want Dany’s Ovation guitar, it’s not that expensive at GAK..sub £400. A quick setup and some fretwork, and good to go!!!

I agree about the acoustic version. I often don't like acoustic versions of hard rock songs; they often come out much more folksy or thin (e. g. Neil Young, Hey Hey My My vs. My My Hey Hey; I like the electric version but I don't care for the acoustic). This band has found a way to get a hard edged sound out of acoustic instruments. Of course, there's no sustain or other electronic effects, but it works very well and actually feels even harder-edged in some ways. I think that acoustic bass that Ale plays really adds a lot of depth. That cannot be an easy instrument to play well. The scale length is considerably shorter (so the strings must surely be very heavy) than that of a double bass and the resonating volume of the instrument is a lot smaller, so it must require a lot of right hand finger strength and technique to get a strong tone from that instrument. However, a master like Ale can really add depth to this kind of music. If you haven't listened to the acoustic version of Hunter, do so. That's another brilliantly executed acoustic rock & roll song. Ale has that big solo to start it off, so one can hear her work in isolation. In addition to the full band versions, they've done some songs at the piano with Pau playing and either Pau or Dani singing. Dull Knives performed that way isn't really to my taste (I believe it was requested by a top tier patron), although an acoustic version like this probably would, in their hands. Fade Away is quite another matter; it's absolutely sublime with Pau playing and singing at the piano, and the only thing I'd like better would be to have her voice properly mixed and her playing a 9' concert grand. My wife was talking with someone on the phone and something came up that she went ballistic over and I wanted to calm down so I listened to that. There's another one of that kind you might want to look for; she asked the band's fans to pick a song for her to cover at the piano that she would learn and record that day. The vote was for Creep by Radiohead. That isn't my favorite, but Pau gave what I can only call a bravura performance. My wife does like that song and has background singing, and she was blown away by Pau's voice.

I love both performances too... I do find it funny and ironic that to go "acoustic" guitar and bass went acoustic, but the drums that were ALREADY acoustic went digital. I know it's just triggering technology for samples/models of acoustic drums, but still... kind of ironic? It works though!

Congratulation on your acting parts, This was a great reaction. Also since you were busy you might not have heard that Angelina Jordan dropped her first single through Republic Records it is called "Million Miles". It is a Lyric Video and the song is about the loss of a loved one (her grandfather) yet still being able to know you are not alone. It is very relatable these days. And your beard looks great.
