The Warning are 3 sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Ale', age 16: bass, piano, backing vocals, Pau (pronounced Pow), age 19, drums, piano, backing and lead vocals, & Dany age 21, piano, lead & rhythm guitar, lead vocals. They have over 40 original songs on 2 EPs & 2 full albums. Last year they signed a 5 record deal with Lava Records. They became noticed in 2014 with a cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman that now has over 23 million views on KZbin. They recently re invented Enter Sandman with Alissa Cara for Metallica's Black List album (30th anniversary of the Black Album). I'll let the rest of The Warning Army fill in more details.....

The Warning are three sisters that started making music very young Alejandra (Ale = Aleh, not the beer. Bass, backing vocals and keyboard, the youngest- 16 as of March 2021) and Paulina (Pau = Pow. Drums, backing/lead vocals and keyboard, middle sister 19 as of March 2021) at 3 and Daniela (Dany = Dany. Guitar, lead vocals and keyboard, the oldest 21 as of March 2021) 5, all learning classical piano. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they wanted to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band. They had been uploading their musical journey to KZbin for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2012 and started rehearsed for a small performance for their school xmas show. Well They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands. One song in particular shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 22 000 000 views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show! The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10,000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston, Ma. USA. They performed a number of small and large shows afterward and began writing and composing new material for their first full length album "XXI Century Blood" in 2017. They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded "Queen of the Murder Scene" and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues. In June of 2019 they released a single, "Narcisista". A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. This was recorded live in June 2019 at Foro Didi in Monterrey Mx (their hometown) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWiscnieg5mFg68 The Warning is totally fan-funded through Patreon, KZbin and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter. They have turned down offers from record labels and talent shows like American Idol because they did not want to lose their control of their music, image and wanted to focus on learning. In fact in one interview with a record label they were asked if they would rather play to 12 people or 12000. Paulina piped up and said The Warning would rather play in front of 12 if it meant they would keep their integrity and could play the music they want to play, how they want to play... That is the most Rock n Roll quote ever! So after a very successful Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a North American tour and to record a new album achieving their goal within 24 hours and surpassing that goal by 600%. Unfortunately the Covid-19 Pandemic forced the band to cancel their tour plans and postpone making their album. Their last live show before the global lockdown was March 14 2020 at the Vive Latino 2020 Festival in Mexico City.This did not stop The Warning from performing though, they played a full concert set from their basement studio/rehearsal space for free for their fans on KZbin and Facebook achieving well over 50,000 simultaneous viewers on March 25, 2020. They have since performed from The Warning Cave couple more times including for the city of Brownsville, Tx. for the Fourth of July virtual celebration and later in the summer for a charity event with rock legends like Slash and Ringo Star. On August 9th 2020 The Warning announced to their Patreon community that after seven long months of negotiations they had signed a five record deal with Lava Records, a label under the Republic Records and Universal Music family. During the announcement they reiterated their dedication to their own creative integrity and dedicated fans on Patreon and were able to retain both in their record contract with Lava. In Sept of 2020 The Warning traveled to New Jersey, USA to begin rehearsal and eventually recording of their third album. After three months of recording and a month and a half of mastering, mixing and editing the third album was completed at the beginning of February, 2021. All that remains as of 22/02/21 is the album design and artwork and logistics of the release which will hopefully happen by the end of 2021. In March of 2021 The Warning was invited to cover a song from Metallica's eponymous 5th album (The Black Album) with Canadian Grammy and Juno award winning pop star Alessia Cara for Metallica's Blacklist album. A 30th anniversary celebration for the Metallica ablum. They selected to record Enter Sandman, a fitting song because it was this song that propelled The Warning 7 years previous into stardom. The Warning reimagined the song with Alessia and produced a fresh new feeling that goes above and beyond what others have done with the song... Having discovered The Warning back in mid 2015 It has been a joyous ride watching them grow from three very young girls doing covers on KZbin to the full on rock stars we now see exploding on the world music scene. With the release of not just this song “Evolve” but their other recent releases “Choke”, “Martirio”, and “Disciple” as singles from their just released EP “Mayday”, these sisters have not just opened up doors of unlimited opportunity, but kicked them down! I believe soon they will absolutely sell out ANY venue they chose to perform, including major arenas and stadiums. It is also worth noting that the sisters have stated on their Patreon page that they do not consider this songs to be the best nor their favorite of the EP. Matter of fact, they rate this one as only the 10th of the 12 songs they recorded last year and will be part of a two part album of which “Mayday” is the first part……Let That Sink In as you listen to it again. Great reaction Leo and Andy! The Villarreal sisters are amazing songwriters and performers. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "Queen of the Murder Scene", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and... It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI Century Blood", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "Escape the Mind"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group last fall. They recently decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called Mayday. "Disciple" is my favorite track! The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (civil engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English speaking school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. A year or so later, they got "real" instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 21, 19 and 16 years old and have already written and arranged #44 original songs all by themselves! The oldest, Dany (Daniela) plays guitar, keyboards, lead vocals on 75% of their songs, backing harmonies. Pau (Paulina) plays drums, keyboards, lead vocals on 25% of their songs, backing harmonies. Ale` (Alejandra) plays bass, keyboards, backing harmonies. The drummer Pau begins writing around 75% of their songs. In her songs, she starts with a concept, then works on chord progressions and basic song structure on piano while adding lyrics. She then brings it before her sisters and together they transpose each individual instrument's part; making changes along the way. They also complete the lyrics together; since Pau may only bring one verse and a chorus. All 3 must unanimously approve of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Nothing is set in stone until it makes it through the gauntlet. Pau has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both Dany and Ale` write equally great songs; just not as many. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. Looking forward to watching your next TW reaction. This is an epic song, you just took a mini-adventure with a hint of suspense followed by a primal scream. Their songs tend to be quite different from one another. Choke, for example, is a very different type of song. They like that variety. That scream was in fact by the drummer, Pau (pronounced "pow"). She has been working on doing it live, and I'm pretty sure she did it at Rockville. There are other drummers who sing (she sings about 25% of the leads; Dany, the guitarist, sings the rest), but she's not exactly gentle on the kit except on the rather few occasions that she wants to be. But if you want to see very different sides of her musical personality, watch her play piano and sing Black Holes and Show Me The Light, from their first album. You mentioned listening to bands in other languages. Most of The Warning songs are in English but English is their second language. They have only released a couple of songs in their native Spanish but both Narcisista and Martirio are bangers. All 3 sisters write but the drummer, Pau, is where most of their songs begin with her writing at a piano. Then she takes her outline to her sisters and the 3 of them hash it out until all of them are happy with the product. They are actually pretty critical of themselves which helps explain why none of the 40 plus songs they have released are bad. Besides the EP's and albums there are a lot of KZbin videos from concerts and festivals through North and South America. They have been noted by many artists including Lzzy Hale, Kirk Hammett, Alyssa White-Gluz and Muse. They have played in a lot of different venues but in North America the best audio & video has been from Lunario, Foro Didi and the Dakota Bar in Mexico, the Whisky a GoGo in Los Angeles and the Mercury Lounge in New York. There are a lot more but those have the best audio/video recordings. They did just play the Rockville Festival in Daytona but the audio on the Twitch stream sucked. For that appearance fan made cell phone videos have much better audio. They are especially good live. One of the few bands that sounds as good or better & has more impact live live than in the studio.
