I first discovered The Warning back in mid 2015 and have not missed a single day for over six years in which I have listened to or watched a video of these amazing young sisters. In my almost 62 years of life I have never been so into a band as I am these young ladies. I have been saying for many years now that they would one day be known world wide and be recognized as one of, if not THE greatest power trio of ALL time. As you see here, they are well on their way to bringing that prediction to fruition. It has been a joyous ride watching them “evolve” from three very young girls doing covers on KZbin to the full on rock stars we now see exploding on the world music scene. With the release of not just “Choke” and “Evolve” as singles, but the yet to be named album from which they come, these sisters have not just opened up doors of unlimited opportunity, but kicked them down! I believe they will absolutely sell out ANY venue they chose to perform, including major arenas and stadiums. It is also worth noting that the sisters have stated on their Patreon page that they do not consider either one of these two songs to be the best nor their favorites of new the album. Matter of fact, they rate this one (Evolve) as only the 10th out of the 12 songs on the entire album…..let that sink in while you listen to it! LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS aka THE WARNING! Today, top 40 radio is so prefabricated and musically DEAD between required FCC lists and Clear Channel monopoly and industry's cynical preference for controllable social-media drama queens over artists with anything relevant to say. The Warning is awesome. Liliac is up and coming. And I have been exploring the remarkably rich troves of real rock, metal, and jazz-fusion groups in Japan. A few sing in English, Lovebites notably (power metal), Band-Maid (rock and prog-rock) throws in some English lines to give a clue, and a handful of all-English songs, and Nemophila's covers are mostly English. But even when I have to find translated lyrics, the musicianship is through the roof and worth hearing. And when "Rie a.k.a. Suzaku" cuts loose with a jazz-rock jam, no translation is necessary.

Not too many bands sound this professional when the youngest here is only 16. The drummer Paulina is the main lyricist and she says this song is about the dangers of the tendency in humans to want to evolve or accelarate the natural process of evolution. You might want to check out their cover of Enter the Sandman by Metallica. It's where they first got noticed on Utube. They also have done 2 Ted Talks where you get some great insight to The Warning and what they are all about. Their 2nd album is a concept album called Queen of The Murder S. In my humble opinion, it is an instant classic that will stand the test of time. They write all of their songs. They are terrific musicians and their passion and stage presence has no limits. Great observations Asia and BJ!! This is the 2nd single off of The Warning's yet to be released 3rd full-length LP. "We wrote - EVOLVE - about humanity's dangerous obsession with evolving... and how sometimes that evolution leads us to slowly leave our humanity behind. Is this dehumanizing evolution right or wrong?" The Villarreal sisters are amazing songwriters and performers. Each one of their original songs is equally a banger. Their second album, "Queen of the Murder Scene", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and... It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI Century Blood", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "Escape the Mind"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group last fall. We are all patiently awaiting their 3rd album release. The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (civil engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English speaking school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. A year or so later, they got "real" instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 21, 19 and 16 years old and have already written and arranged #44 original songs all by themselves! The oldest, Dany (Daniela) plays guitar, keyboards, lead vocals on 75% of their songs, backing harmonies. Pau (Paulina) plays drums, keyboards, lead vocals on 25% of their songs, backing harmonies. Ale` (Alejandra) plays bass, keyboards, backing harmonies. The drummer Pau writes around 75% of their songs. Asia is right, their showing up this professional is way more than their appearance in a game. They have been making music since they were toddlers and growing up only increased their determination to do a great pro job of it. Their Dad asked how serious they were and the answers they gave moved him to sell his motorcycle and buy them quality equipment. And they have worked to constantly improve. We're looking at the result of a LOT of work as well as their talent. They were practicing and brainstorming when others were having parties and such. Looks like their Dad made a good investment.

About the only rock band I have even bothered digging into since Opeth in 06'.....most of today's bands are trend chasing garbage that sound the same.....thes girls are fire asf. Rock, groove metal, 80's pop influenced, industrial.....so talented and clean. That little drummer girl is a hottie bada$$. And Asia if yo uwant to see enthusiasm, you need to watch the Japanese gir drummer JUNNA covering Through the Fire and Flames.....will give you a whole new definition of enthusiasm....you guys watch her and not smile whole time you got problems.
