The Warning - Hunter - Live from "The Warning Cave" (with guest fan/bassist)

Recently, I (along with several other Patrons) was extremely fortunate to be invited by The Warning, their family and management to visit "The Warning Cave" in Monterrey, Mexico.
They played a number of songs for us, including their new single "Narcisista" (first song recorded in Spanish). In addition, they took the time to chat with us and signed a number of items. As if that wasn't enough, a couple of us actually played a song each with them! I was lucky enough to perform "Hunter" on bass while bassist Ale sang lead on the song for only the 2nd time (and the first time singing ANY song live without an instrument). She did an amazing job with the vocals and I had such an incredible time jamming with her and her sisters, Dany (guitar/vocals) and Pau (drums/vocals).
I'd like to extend my sincere thanks to Dany, Pau, and Ale, their parents, and manager Rudy Joffroy for allowing this event to take place in their own private space. In addition, to be able to get up and jam with a band who I find to be very inspirational was a highlight for me. Thank you!

Can't believe I landed on this video... I knew Ale could sing backup, but now I know what she's capable of! It is so obvious that Ale doesn't want the spotlight on her all the time. All of the fans know... she is a rock solid bassist - never misses. So glad I found this. And yes, Dany acting as the proud and encouraging big sis was very cool.

I was going to reply to someone who said Ale looked shy without her bass but I can't find that comment now. So I'm just gonna comment here and hope the person I'm replying to sees it! I'm a bassist too and I can tell you that when you have the bass on your body it feels like a wall between you and the audience. Without the bass, it feels kind of naked because that wall is gone. In this case for Ale, no bass "wall" between her and the camera. But she did great. And I bet she learned something about herself as a singer from this experience 'cause I bet when she sings during rehearsal she always has the bass on. Even the few occasions when she plays the keyboards, she's still wearing the bass. So +Thomas Illgen, you gave Ale a unique learning opportunity.

Have to say, Thomas Illigen is a pretty damn cool bassist himself, which kind if explains why he saw the potential in Ale and invested in her. Thomas - that was such a damn cool thing to do. Have also to love your selection of bass. A Specter is a fairly specific kind of instrument, and not the easiest to live with (if you've evert tried getting a hardcase to fit an NS Dimension). That would be great! I'm sure she will at some point. I still don't think she really wants to sing lead on a regular basis and of course once she sings lead on an album it's on her to sing it live. I think it's cool that she has the capability to do so even if the skill lies mostly dormant. Of course, she provides a lot of vocal talent anyway, when singing background vox.
