So interesting to hear how they work together, and how they used technology to reach out to their fans. In those earlier days there was a lot of interaction. Their process changed a lot for their 4th album, Keep Me Fed. They wrote it between tours at writing sessions collaborating with outside writers for the first time. If you haven't seen them yet, check out the "Keep Me Fed Track By Track" videos where they do an intro video and then a video talking about each song on the album. The 13 videos add up to just over 28 minutes total.

I don't think it was rock fans not letting females into the genre as such.. it was the fact that they were back of the queue to success due to the industry. I have seen many good bands in the past that didn't get anywhere other than local fame because they couldn't get a record deal ( even a listen from an A&R guy) TW have shown that social media is a great way to grow your own fame
