In 2014 tens of thousands of aunts and uncles around the world adopted these three sisters. Now they have a fairy voice mother! That little bassist, the youngest sister is now the tallest. She is described as a human metronome. She is now affectionately called the ‘Thunder Goddess’. The drummer Pau is DRUMEO’s Best Rock Drummer of 2023. She can sing lead with the same intensity as the lead singer while drumming or break your heart with ballads while drumming or playing the piano. The eldest sister Dany’s vocal limit is unknown as she keeps raising the bar! Check out Choke and Hell You Call A Dream to see her vocal superpowers! Metallica saw them in 2014. In 2021 Metallica invited The Warning to rework Enter Sandman with Alessa Cara, to turn the song upside down, inside out and make it their own.

Im not agree at all about your appreciation, I'm sorry, but I think that this group that has its merit is very overrated, NOT all their songs maintain the same level and these girls, are more the product of excellent marketing, than quality ! Listen: I was born in 1971 perhaps the best year in rock HISTORY, I have listened ahy kind of rock music from the 50's until well into the two thousands, I've heard of all kinds of sorts, and like many critics NO, I HAVEN'T BEEN CONVINCED, ¿What about The Runaways, The Pandoras, Vixen, Heart and Phanton Blue? That was the most beautiful reactions to The Warning I have ever seen. But it is how most fans react to this experience. They are a well oiled machine loving what they do and putting more effort in their work as most bands. No bad songs and performance off the chart. In the beginning I thought I was a broken record. Because all I said after each new song I discovered, was "they are fantastic and so so good!". They are something that have hit the musical realm, something the world has not seen in a long long time. With talent, work ethics, a burning interest for mucic and a story to tell the world. They are now (in 2024) selling out seats in arenas that are everything between a couple of hundred people to 10.000 heads. They are going to japan and they are playing festivals and are invited to Wacken Open Air this fall. They are as Paulina (the drummer) used to say "We are a small band from Mexico". These women are no divas, they are as down to earth as can be.

Superb 1st-time The Warning reaction/breakdown Fairy Mother! The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track! They are going to release their 4th studio album "KEEP ME FED" June 28th, 2024. And 5 singles off the new album have already been released: "MORE", "S!CK", "HELL YOU CALL A DREAM", "QUE` MA`S QUIERES", and recently "AUTOMATIC SUN". The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 24, 22 and 19 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #51 original songs (not including the remaining songs from the upcoming 4th studio album). Drummer Paulina writes around 75% of The Warning's songs. Most of her songs begin in rock ballad form; starting with a concept, then chord progression, melody and basic song structure on the piano. She may only have a verse and a chorus when she brings it before her sisters. Together they transpose each instrument's part and "rockify" the song. They complete any lyrics, bridges and any arranging, etc. making changes along the way. A 2/3 approval vote of each instrument's part and each vocal harmony before it becomes a completed song. Paulina has said if not for her sisters, her songs would be different. Both guitarist Daniela and bassist Alejandra write equally great songs; just not as many. Drummer Paulina recently won Drumeo's 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year and won Best Up and Coming Artist in Modern Drummer Magazine's recent reader's poll. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. I have talked with their parents on 2 occasions and have had many conversations with their manager Rudy. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. Thank you for sharing your TW discovery with us! 👋😊❤️

You are absolutely right about how everyone should be inspired! I saw their Enter Sandman cover when it first came out on KZbin in 2014 and was blown away and so proud of these adorable girls. I had just graduated college and every few years afterwards I would go back and watch that video because I loved it so much. I had no clue they had blown up until a month ago when I felt the urge to watch it again and was directed to more of their songs and was like WHAAAAT HOW DID I NOT KNOW 🤯 I was so happy for them and got emotional. I suddenly was faced with the reality with what THEY had accomplished in 10 yrs vs how little I had done 10 yrs post college....I felt depressed at first but then felt inspired by them to take better care of myself and do more with my life. I haven't had a reality check like that in a while and have been loving going through all of their music since!

I've seen a lot of reviews on this performance, but yours may be the best yet. 🔥 One other reactor, Jesse from the BEL Development channel, literally broke down into tears, and for the same reason as you - he's proud of them and how they went from little bitty rockers to the MTV awards stage. The difference is, you watched their viral 2014 video and then almost immediately jumped to The Warning present day. I totally understand the emotional response. I admit that I tear up quite often watching them now. It's not only the journey and hard work they've done, but also the wholesome way they did it, with their family involved, always humble and polite, and so appreciative of their fans. Such a unique band, none other like it. Love your review style and your knowledge of vocal techniques. Instant subscriber.

Finally my favorite vocal coach reacting to my favorite band! So hyped!!! The 2023 VMAs performance is the result of over 10 years of them working with music teachers, performance coaches and yes! a vocal coach, so it is the culmination of years of hard work. The second performance from these VMAs, of their song MORE, is a masterclass from Dany in stage presence and another recent live performance that you may be interested in vocally, is the video of their live performance of Hell You Call A Dream from the Pepsi Center in Mexico City, that they posted on their KZbin channel.

I'm 70 years old, and have been a rock fan most of my life - The Warning is without doubt the finest new band to emerge for 30 years or more. They have revitalised rock music. I saw them in Cardiff a couple of weeks ago - one of the last gigs of their triumphant sold-out European tour - sadly, Pau was not well, but still played the drums without fault and helped deliver a stunning show - we got 'Evolve' as an encore, without the 'scream of destruction' - but Dani and Ale put in such a high-octane effort that the energy was there anyway - at the close, Dani asked for an extra round of applause for Pau, who'd played on despite feeling sick, and the crowd responded with such a sustained and heartfelt outpouring of gratitude and love. They're not only insanely talented, hugely experienced for their age, super-inventive, but also consumately professional. I hope I'm still fit enough to go see them again whenever they tour the UK again. Lolly - every song of theirs is essential listening, I've never yet heard a weak one - but do have a listen to Pau, solo at the piano, covering Radiohead's 'Creep' - I never even liked the song before, but she has the talent, the technique, and the magic, to make it a captivating and moving experience.

Many of us have watched them grow up before our eyes. Some longer than others, but almost all feel the same. They have worked their tails off for years to hone their talent. Been an evangelist of theirs for years. The only thing missing from my collection is their first EP on vinyl. I love what they've done and I love where they're going!

Wow that is quite a bookend of videos, to go from The Warning's viral hit at their start all the way to their (relatively) recent top performance with Evolve!! Yes, The Warning has been working at it for 10 years now -- and lucky for us, a hell of a lot of their journey is on YT and their socials. Some song suggestions: Dust to Dust, Choke (live), 23, Hell You Call A Dream -- the vocals will make it clear why I picked them -- or maybe Survive or Disciple since those feature dual lead vocals. You are going to be so happy as you follow The Warning!! And I do like your explanations of the vocal techniques and reasons for singers to utilize them.

I keep coming back to this one because it so perfectly encapsulates the pride of where they started to where they are now, while acknowledging and celebrating how much hard work went into the intervening years between the two performances. Talent will get you started for sure, but only hard work, dedication, and endless hours of practice will hone the *skills* to be at the level that The Warninng is now.

I’m actually pretty impressed on how they compose more than anything, and that says a lot because they are amazingly skilled on almost everything they do!

I've been a Patreon supporter of The Warning for many years (since their first album) and I have to say I feel like a proud Uncle when I see how far they have come. Of course I've had nothing to do with their actual journey except giving some monetary support and making as many positive comments on YT videos, reactions, social media etc as i can. They never cease to amaze me. Check out one of their latest songs Automatic Sun, the live footage with studio sound. It's awesome. Their new album comes out on June 28. My copy is already pre-ordered. You've been warned! Rock on!

3:05 you are not so far, they came from a familiar reunion and decided to record this for her grandparents.. Some facts of MTV appearance: - 99% of the people in the venue, doesn't know them, only three persons (the ones singing and yelling), then all in the public become a fan - The director manager, when they finish says on open mic: Wow, you are awesome, Holy shit!!!! I'm a fan now - All of the bands in that part of VMAs has 3 takes, only The Warning made it in ONE and singing and playing their instruments - MTV still doesn't know what the hell happened that night

My absolute favourite live band right now. Their evolution has been outstanding and their impact on the rock genre has yet to be fully realized. I’m sure others will tell you about their training, their multi instrumental acumen and their songwriting abilities which belie their age, but the key aspect is their dedication to their craft. The fun they have on stage is infectious (much like you my dear) and their ability to mix various sounds into a cohesive whole is unparalleled. Thank you for this. BTW, Pau (the drummer) sings lead on about 20% of their songs and has a great voice in her own right.

These ladies are incapable of writing a bad song. Watch the entire concert from Teatro Metropolitan from August of 2022. Choke is the video I saw 15 months ago that spiralled me into The Warning rabbit hole. There are so many of their songs that take the listener on a musical and lyrical super rollercoaster ride, with slow build ups, pauses, then extreme pounding cords and bass lines. The Warning is a once in a generation phenomenon. I flew down from Portland Oregon with my daughter to see them live over 6 months ago in Tijuana where they started with Disciple. Ale’s bass kicked me in the chest and knocked me over, then Pau beat me over the head with her drums and then Dany finished me off by slaying me with her guitar and vocals. Once you go down The Warning rabbit hole there's no way out, like Black Holes (which is one of my favorite songs of theirs). Warning: you will be innundated by The Warning Army!

I am always captivated by those who have the ability to see excellence and elaborate on it in a way that everyone else can understand it. But those who have the ability to see excellence, they themselves have to embody excellence, which is why all of your reactions have the ability to captivate us. Your passion and understanding are contagious.

Welcome to the world of The Warning. This is the video I first saw in 2014 that prompted me to follow this band, and I have been following their progress since 20124. I was finally able to see them in person at their concert in May, 2022 in Dallas, TX. And yes of course, they brought the house down.

I've also had this unique feeling of being so proud of them, when I discovered their music and history. Maybe it's because I'm now a father but... I just feel so proud to see where they got, while keeping a level head and just being fun hard working artists. They got me back into Rock, something I haven't felt in years, I've even picked up my dusty guitar again, and yes, even at 38, I'm learning a lot of new stuff! :D
