The fact that the Warrior Shrine is just a top 5 list after being "coming soon" for a year is actually insane, but I think that overall, the expansion is looking good. I am a big fan of the towers, especially in Injustice 2 with the guild version, that was awesome. However, I am worried that the rewards are still going to suck which would make it pointless.

Side note Mike i was thinking i think mk1 really took the new timeline rebuild a lil too seriously which is why they probably building the game up slowly instead of giving us a complete game at launch kind of took the SF5 route which is risky yet they thriving on the negative critics cause it keeps them relevant as they build the game right in front of us. Now yes when it comes to the warrior shrine that was bad what they did is good if they wanted to do it with the top 5 cool but make that in a different name a or a different location in the game not behind the warrior shrine when you had that there for ever and could have use it to be something special hell put a version of the krypt there if anything that was the biggest down like whatever moment from the kombat Kast the rest was actually pretty good

There's still a lack of game modes. People are hyping this dlc up but I guarantee that by the end of October they'll be back to trashing this game again. Also I don't know why people were thinking the warrior shrine was anything special. It was under the ranked mode and has "shrine" in the name. Animalities are cool but people don't even do fatalities so you'll rarely see those, and when you do see them that's about it. This update really don't have anything going for the game in the long run. Hopefully I can buy noob separately so I can play him cause that's my all time MK main.

I’ve been a fan of MK for years. I don’t hate MK1 personally, its gameplay is better than 11 however it’s clear that NRS is just half listening to us with all these features. We’ve been begging for Sektor & Cyrax to come back as fully fleshed out characters for over a decade. Just for them to bring them back in the most controversial way possible. The warrior shrine is absolutely stupid. I thought it was gonna be a shrine to obtain all the Kombat League rewards, but all it ends up being is a f*cking leaderboard. Now it’s cool they are reintroducing Towers of Time and you can get all the old KL skins from it, but why make this red herring with the Warrior Shrine? Why didn’t you just call it anything else, but a SHRINE? Do they not understand how misleading that is? I know I’m shitting on MK hard rn, but I just want to reiterate. I am a fan, I would even say I am a shill because the amount of costumes I buy in that shitty premium shop. I know that the game has improved and they have been making a turn around. Lowering the store prices, finally adding crossplay, improving invasions, actually surprising me with how fun the DLC characters are. I’m even excited for Khaos Reigns even though it’s just a goofy parody of the MCU, but I think that’s fun. They have made improvements and I am not turning a blind eye to that. But when you make us wait a year, for FUCKING LEADERBOARDS… you’re really testing my patience NRS. Mike listen, cause I know you’re probably gonna read this. These are the reasons I left MK for Tekken. I wasn’t even a Tekken fan until Tekken. I know I played 7 a bit, and probably a few of the older games a long time ago but not enough to remember. I know you got your issues with Tekken 8, but from someone like me, an MK fan since I was a little kid, coming into Tekken 8 this game has wowed me. I’d even say it’s my 2nd favorite fighting game overall rn (MK9 is still the GOAT IMO). Like I always knew it was gonna be something underwhelming, not to this degree though, but I always hoped it would be something like konquest, but I thought it would've been just some weird tower of time thing, or a very minimal krypt, like more minimal than mk deadly alliance, and sure still underwhelming but fine, certainly I wouldn't complain for content, but damn, seriously? At this point just don't show the shrine at all, usually when games show something you can access, it's something very big, or at least fun, like ygo master duel, events were shown, but no one knew what they were until a few weeks later, and it was literally a new format, a super fun event with great rewards, the warrior shrine was teased basically for a year, and it was just a glorified leaderboard, like seriously? Like why didn't you hide it? Or even better, why didn't you change it? Y'all could've still made the tower of time the warrior shrine, even though it would be very lazy and kinda fraudish and then make a leaderboard, cause at least it makes people think they waited for something fun, not this leaderboard, of a game that almost no one plays anymore, at this point the warrior shrine is as valiable as winning the gold, silver or bronze medal in a competition where only 4 people play, like wow I'm better than 3 other people.

There’s a positive and a negative to the warrior showing starting with the positive. It is convenient that I could see the leaderboard because I don’t really go on social media to check for the FGC. I’ll only know what I’m watching concert creators that bring it up. And I’m not a casual either. I just think the FGC is boring to watch mainly because a lot of the FGC community have the personality of paint drying. Now the negative is that NRS could’ve told us what the warrior shrine is a year ago instead of not saying nothing and leaving it a mystery getting the fans hyped, and then it ends up being a leader boy y’all deserve to get cursed out for that. I have a friend that goes crazy for these new trash games. I'm so tired of hearing about 2k, MK, Helldivers 2, COD. All these companies are greedy and not making complete games. Soundtracks are super important to fighting games in my opinion. You can't fight to shitty music. 😂 Tekken has been legendary in terms of music. All of the games have super solid music besides 7, and even it has a few tracks that are bops. MK hasn't had good music (in my opinion) since MKX.
