Easiest way to solve this free throw issue is to stop calling all these soft ass fouls for either team. As a Laker fan I'm aware this will massively hurt us but idc it's hard to watch basketball as is. Game stops every 15 secs b/c someone breathed on another player too hard and now you've got all these big ass dudes crying everytime something doesn't go their way knowing damn well they played with basically no fouls at all back in the gym playing when they were growing up.

@@HoopReports - Keep the pressure on the NBA, by highlighting the Free-throes disparity we're seeing on a regular basis, particularly with the Warriors. The NBA Front office has ESPN to help set Narratives to support what they're doing. Last year, the Lakers shot more than 50 free-throws than the Warriors. And while that situation never occurred in the History of the NBA, No sports media talking heads even mentioned it. They instead created a narrative that the Warriors is just a high-fouling team. In other words... a team that has ranked #1 or #2 in defensive ratings for many years, simply forgot how to play without fouling. And that's the king of narratives you need to overcome. Simple math using the recent Lakers vs, Warrior’s game. Curry shot 21 3pts shots, but as a team they took 61 2pts shots., and they had 16 free-throws. That represents 26% of their two points shot that incurred a foul. The Lakers shot 74 2pts shot and they had 43 free-throws. That represents a foul on 58% of their 2pts shot. If you apply that 58% free-throws to the Warriors 61 2pts shots, they would have had 35 free-throws. 35 vs 43 represents an 8-free-throw difference. Now go peruse through the NBA Stats online, and you’ll find that 8 free-throws different is very common amongst NBA teams, not 27 as in the game last night. The Lakers had 19 free-throws (and points) more than average. Again, from a strictly Sports Fan perspective that’s absolutely unacceptable.

The refs basically gave a 300 lb Shaq total free reign to clear out any and all defenders with a massive left fore arm as he pivoted and thundered to the rim. Alan Iverson put in an inspired performance that was doomed (pre-ordained?) at the outset to fail.
