Go during the day and evening to Plac Europejski with various activities and a great restaurant, and the atmosphere of a big city that you will like. IT is in the center of Warsaw so you can get there quickly. It is worth going to this Campus later to calmly go with your wife and visit each of these buildings and discover cool new places and interesting food :)
@krzesimirchrzastowicz48332 жыл бұрын
If you like to see unique abandoned or partially revitalized places, how about abandoned military areas? All around the city you've got mostly abandoned XIX century Russian fortifications. The closest from your apartament worth to visit is Fort Mokotów near to Racławicka street. I think there are some clubs and restaurants there, but there are not always open. There are also Forty Bema on Bemowo, Fort Sadyba with a military museum and the largest one is outside of Warsaw - the Modlin Fortress. You can easily go by train there. ;)

I suggest go to Konstancin (park, tężnia, Stara Papiernia, some beautiful mansions and very good cukiernia- sweet shop Piłsudskiego str. near the park). It is kind of relax (with Marina, she can rest in very healing place and walk very comfortably)

in my opinion, it is worth going to Ursynów / Kabaty. I have lived there for over 10 years. I have good memories of chilling on Górka Kazurka (Kazoorka bike park). Fort Sluzew is close to Ursynów with super cool bistros ;) and for a longer trip, I definitely recommend the Modlin Fortress

Hi James. You already know Koneser, so it's time to check out Elektrociepłownia Powiśle and roof garden of Warsaw University Library, both close to metro Powiśle. Later on Browary Warszawskie and Fabryka Norblina were modernity blends well with postindustrial architecture. And make sure to check Nocny Market foodie place on Ochota as well as multimedia fountain show (free of charge) close to Nowe Miasto. Keep on exploring!

I absolutely loved those 2 abandoned circular factory buildings at the beginning of the video. The structures were gorgeous and should be turned into something interesting, such as an art/music complex or something. Btw, my kids had a good laugh at the "L" symbol for Legia. Here in the States it means a loser. Anyway, another great tour!

The new buildings look better than old ones just because it is much easier to do a renovation. You need only a little bit polystyrene and paint. Warming houses is even subsided by EU. But you cannot wrap an old historic building with polystyrene just like that. The other thing is that with buildings raised before the WWII there are often some ownership issues, with the new ones there are no such problems.

If you're interested in football there are is local rivalry going on between two teams mainly - Polonia Warszawa and Legia Warszawa, yet Polonia is not that much popular nowadays as they were relegated few years back and now playing in 3rd league because of financial reasons. I think both teams got interesting history and how they were ran during communism times but you have to hear them both each one from their fans as they always keen to paint their rival in bad light in their story ;) 3rd league have not been finished and they got like 4-5 matches left where Polonia is fighting hard for promotion to higher league so it might be interesting trip to see the upcoming crucial match against Legionovia Legionowo

It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
