@kingblack22ss My version is the older version, with the ETA-G10, and saphire coated crystal. The current production models use Rhonda 5040 movements and they have Flame fusion crystals. The Ronda movement places the .1 second subdial at 6:00, and the time-keeping seconds are at 2:00. The calibration procedure is different too. With the ronda 5040 you have to press and HOLD both chrono bottons to enter a calibration mode. With the G10 you pull the crown and start pressing buttons.

I have the 1148, swiss and poly strap wore it about 12 x, in watch box 95% of time and the rubber tore away while wrapped in a standard watch holder, very disappointed that it just wore out fitting for most part. Love the watch now looking forcrepla cement band and dont want poly

@kingblack22ss But yes... basically the G10 and 5040 accomplish the same thing. Although the 5040 looks "cooler" with the flying .10 chrono second hand. The 5040 is also a "repairable" movement. A technician can order gears, rubies, levers, chassis parts (etc) from Ronda and replace them part by part. The ETA-G10 is a disposable box-engine, drop in replacement for ~$45. There are pros and cons to both business / repair models.

Hi Sam... sorry for the late reply. I picked up this SAN 4-5 years ago from Costco $229 I think.

"electronics screwdriver"... Its a small / precise screwdriver set typically used for electronics, but they work great for watches too. IMHO its a must have for anyone into watch collecting.

Yeah, one of Eyals best. Mine is on its second battery and going on 6 years old overall. The ETA G10-211 gets a bad rap by charge by the hour horology "experts" who don't gain financially from its disposable-replaceable business model. One nice thing about mine and the older SAN-3 models is Eyal used a stainless movement retainer instead of the current plastic ones. Gives the watch more weight and a sense of mass on the wrist.

The Subaqua line from Invicta are quality made watches, not to mention the beautiful design..SAN 3 is my favorite..4 and 5 are awesome as well..

Agree... The SAN III is me fave of the series, but the others are really nice too. FWIW this one here has a stainless steel movement retainer inside, so that no doubt adds to the mass/weight and feel. It also has an Anti-reflective coating inside the crystal. Both of these are generally thought of as high-end features.

Hello there, I've just bought this watch :) Is there any way to get the large second hand to tick? For seconds it only seems to be the small chronograph dial in the upper right that ticks round. The large second hand just stays at the 12 o'clock position, thanks
@MuvoTX10 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. On the ETA G10-211 the large main hand is the chrono second hand, only. It serves no function in routine timekeeping.

Thanks for the feedback... Yep... Forget about Invicta post-sale customer service. It stinks, or at the very least its hit or miss at best. Post a WTB thread on the watchintyme forum. Lots of invicta collectors lurk there, as transplants from the now defunct watchgeeks forum. I posted a wanted thread to the old WG forum and was able to get 3x extra strap sets for this watch within a week.
