put pistons on either side that will switch a magma block and soul sand, you should also add a little delay and add a dispenser, the dispenser will take out and put the water back in place so it will stay water logged (the dispenser has to be down in the wall, and the delay is needed, because the slime block will dry the water out when the piston pushes)

Oh man, I totally empathize with having sand outside your door you just want to dig up for glass. My spawn ended up being surrounded by deserts and the urge to mine it up for glass is too real D: Really, it feels like having two guys on your shoulders, except instead of being an angel and a devil, it's an optimist and a realist. If you don’t want the fish to fall off the water feature you could waterlog a blue glass pane at the edge of the pond so the fish will be able to sim around and not fall out but it won’t look too weird because the glass will blend in with the water. Hope this helps :)

Hey zedaph, when 1.16 comes out your water closet should have a gold armor (for the piglin in the nether), a backup netherite armor and some random armor on the third armor stand.

You can make the area the armour stands are as source blocks so they don’t move forwards so you don’t need the buttons
