I'm of that opinion too, I feel like there are actually a lot of parallels between Lance's relationship with Keith and his relationship with Allura, so I'm curious to see if they will make that leap. Yeah, I don't think the "pursue an uninterested girl until she likes you back" theme of Allurance is too great to be honest, her feelings are just as important and people easily forget that. I also personally think that Lance's inner feelings have been given FAR too much focus for Allura to be the romantic heroine with the "wrong man first" trope. We hardly know anything about her inner thoughts, we look at her relationship with Lotor almost as if we're outsiders. If anything, it feels to me like LANCE is the one who is going to be making some big decisions coming up... But of course I'm biased haha. Anyway yeah, I hope S7 is great and that I can stay inspired somehow! Thank you so much again!

I will always have the highest opinion of your work, honestly I think even if you vidded Allurance I would still love it if it was one of your vids :') your manips are sorcery :O But yeah I agree a lot -- Allurance is honestly bringing back all kinds of bad flashbacks on why I could never truly get behind Kataang in ATLA, it's the same dynamic and the "pushing reciprocation on a girl who sees you as a friend only", aside from love triangles, is probably the most annoying romance trope ever to me, especially as a girl who was on the receiving end of such retrograde mentality ^^'. Lance deserves better than being a second choice/rebound, and Allura deserves better than repeatedly being framed as wrong with her choices and feelings as if she were incapable of good judgement -- but I suppose my inner Lotura shipper makes me biased as well on stuff, idk xD. In any case, if the team's going back to Earth next, I totally feel this is set to be Lance's season too, and it's about time! And now that Keith's back with the team they have no excuse for not resuming some of the previous dynamics :3 (And I guess...if I can still hope that Lotor is not completely lost after all the awful shenanigans that happened, you totally can and must keep faith in Klance to make it through ♥)

The editing on this is amazing!! I can somewhat make out a story: Lance and Keith both had feelings for each other, Lance tried to keep Keith with the team but he left (probably he’s scared of falling in love) Well when Keith gets on the space whale he sees visions of Lance dying for Allura. So when Keith leaves for the castle, to make sure Lance is okay, he walks in on Allura and Lance hugging. Keith is heartbroken, then he leaves and sees more visions of him and Lance (or he saw these before idk) And wants to see Lance. Keith then I think goes to Lance.

So after watching this a ton of times cuz it's amazing lemme drop my interpretation of the story too! Keith and lance had a relationship (the confession and the kiss being flashbacks from the past) But they (most likely keith) broke it up after he left for the blade and he saw lance worried so much. He though it would make it easier on lance if they end it (stupid keef) Then he went to the mission where the flashes happend. He saw lance dying and even tho he knew allura would save him he was pretty shaken and broke the blades protocol and went to visit the castle. There he walks into lance and allura hugging and decides that he would step back and let their relationship happen if that means lance will be saved in the future. Soon after lance finds him and apologizes for keith finding out this way that he got closer to allura after they broke up. Keith stays with his plan but the lack of emotion makes lance believe keith never felt that much for him from the beginning. He still loves Keith and it makes him feel insecure to think it is/was one-sided. Keith want to tell him the truth but decides he can't so after that lance tries to only focus on his crush on allura and keith watches pretending it dosen't hurt. After a while of playing cold but still having moments with lance he notices that lance dosen't seem happy and asks if he is ok. Lance tells him he isn't and keith confesses that he didn't want it to happen this way. Lance asks him to come back (to him) but after Keith is struggling for too long he leaves the room. Then Keith makes up his mind and runs after him. End.~

I find myself constantly being pulled back to this one video in particular. The editing, the voiceover, the story that it tells; literally everything about this is honestly so breathtaking. Not to mention the song that I discovered through this video makes me feel all types of things. Also, I know this is supposed to be some sort of au, but, in a way, its pretty much true in the capture of the show. When you think about it, I think keith ultimately thinks that allura and lance had gotten together in his absence. The time that he spent away with his mother on that space whale could have made him think long and hard over certain things in his life that he wasn't sure of. One of those things being lance. He spent his whole entire life pushing people away because of the events that took place in it. His mother leaving when he was a baby, his father dying when he was just a child, his brother figure presumed dead after everything they have been through together, and, to top it all off, he didn't really have any friends. They all just assumed he was some sort of "emo loner" kid who didn't need anyone, so for a long time, he ended up believing what everyone thought of him. But being alone with his mother for two years taught him what he really wanted. He wanted to finally accept everyone into his new family. The only person left was Lance. But a small glimpse on the pod camera revealed that lance and allura were sharing some sort of intimate moment. Keith was always good at hiding his emotions so he didn't let that show. Yet it pained him the most seeing how lances face lit up seeing that he returned in one piece. Perhaps thats why the rest of the season is spent ignoring lance. Perhaps thats why in season 7 he tries to act like how lance was towards him at the beginning. Because thats what he always did best: push people away. Lance is obviously hurt by his actions and theres some uneasy tension between the both of them. So as we near the final season, all i hope for is some resolution between the two of them. Which in voltron terms always means a fight. Also unrelated to the video itself but I have a sort of theory of what will come of season 8 with lance and keith: allura and lance will be together because thats how it seems to be set up. We will see some little cute encounters between the two of them. From the trailer I presume that haggar will make herself known to the paladins via a video to them. Perhaps she mentions something about lotor dying and her intending to in-act revenge on everyone, especially allura. We can see that alluras face seems sad and weary more than anything compared to the very angry faces of everyone else. Lance could see that and maybe it ends with them having a talk and alluras true feelings coming out, saying how she does love lance but not in the way that she thought. And ofc lance is hurt because his suspicions of her still having feelings for lotor is confirmed so he kind of just leaves her there to go blow off some steam. He is then greeted by shiro where they finally have their talk about love, life, and whats next for him. It opens lances eyes and makes him want to talk to keith to resolve things. He goes to find keith but ends up finding out that hes gone. Perhaps all the lions got taken except for the black lion and he pilots that to go find keith. Come on! Black lion Lance! He ends up finding him but hes not himself because hes been controlled by haggar. They fight. Words are said. Nasty words. It mirrors that of the shiro and keith fight but its a little bit different. Maybe lance says he loves him. Or that if he ends up dying tonight that he wholeheartedly forgives him. Keith raises his arm like hes about to stab him so lance closes his eyes but the sword was thrown at haggar and she dies. They both have a cute moment together. Keith is in awe he piloted the black lion to save him. Things cool down as they make their way back home. And when they get back they talk. Like really and truly talk. And lance makes keith laugh. Idk something pure. Maybe keith rests his head on lances shoulder and it pans out to a beautiful sunset. SORRY FOR RAMBLING I GET AHEAD OF MYSELF GOOD DAY.
