One little gameplay tip: You got an accesory (Carnelia Bracelet) early in the episode preventing debuffs for STR/DEF/ADF. This does not only apply to debuffs applied by enemies, but by your characters as well, so if you equip Anelace with it you can use her insane 50% Strength buff without suffering the associated loss of defence!

Unlike the Julia vs Muller fight, Anelace vs Richard is significantly more doable. Sadly you lost the fight so you missed out on a very substantial bonus reward for winning, however i think going back in the door will let you get it. Unfortunately if you dont have said reward you miss out on the mega super duper true ending where Anelace commands an army of plushies to devour the flesh off of the Lord of Phantasma while The Schwarzritter bows before the overwhelming might of the Chosen One

First of Le Locle is the name of a real place, located in Switzerland so we can probably assume that Leman State is inspired by it. Even it's mountainous design speaks for that as well. Secondly Kurt's full name is 'Kurt Nardin' and in real life Le Locle is the founding home of a watchmaker (read orbments) company named 'Ulysses Nardin'. That's all for now, thanks for the episode!

For the Trails fans in the audience (which I'm pretty sure is like 90-95% of you), the free PS4/5 story demo for Trails through Daybreak 2 just dropped today, which goes all the way through the prologue and part of chapter 1. Like the Daybreak 1 demo, you'll be able to carry over your progress to the full game when it drops in February. There's also a gameplay demo for the Marchen Garten random dungeon thing demo for more advanced combat stuff (but that won't carry over).

In this video, we got some good story with Anelace and Richard, and we got to know something of Master Ka Fai. Not every door in this game is going to be as good as Moon Door 3, some of them are intense, some of them are just goofy, and some of them are all over the place, but the one important detail: all of them serve a purpose. None of them are just thrown in for the heck of it, every door furthers the overall story in a key way. Falcom's approach to story-telling and world-building is methodical, they only know way to go: brick by brick, slow and steady. They make you love the characters, so when something important does happen, it hits like a truck.

I don't want to say anything about what happens in it, because Nico warned us, but I think it plays in very well with one of the core themes of the series. I just hope Nico is able to complete every single door in the game, because the reward for doing so is amazing.

Heat-Resistance Boots are such meta shoes for this game. In Nightmare difficulty you literally wear these shoes until end of the game 😂😂 Speed and MOV are such essential stats in this game.

@raydespoir I did New Game Nightmare as well so yeah I know it's not easy (you can check my videos from 2017-2018). I can say bosses earlier than Chapter 2 Grancel are harder than others cos we lack of resources (Quartz slots, equipments, etc). Chapter 3 Gold&Silver Road is depending on the party members you put to decide easy or hard (mainly for Ries). Chapter 4 onwards, while combats are not easy the game give you a lot of resources, including Heat-Resistance Boots. I have fun figuring out most broken things to cheese Nightmare difficulty after Chapter 4.

Now that you kind of have a feel of how this place works. I will have to tell you that the boss of the third area of this plane has a tendency to crash the game in their second form. I personally bypassed it by using an insta kill move on it and getting lucky. but apperantly you can prevent the crash by running the game in a different mode(x8 instead of x9, or something like that, someone else will probably correct me on that). Thing is, this particular phase of the boss comes back as a regular enemy later on and still crashes the game, kind of annoying, but at that point you should be able to kill them quick enough before they get a chance to crash.

As others mentioned, go back through this Star Door and beat Richard. Not only is the reward well worth it, but if I'm not mistaken, the door won't be marked as complete in Kevin's notebook until you do. And I would just like to take this time to reiterate what a _badass_ Anelace is. She gets overshadowed by Estelle and Joshua, but they are about the only ones who _could._ User of the same sword style as _Cassius Bright_ and _Alan Richard,_ granddaughter of said style's _founder,_ and one of the youngest senior bracers on record--and unlike the younger Brights, she didn't have the opportunity to skip through the junior ranks on the back of foiling a coup. Her sprint to senior bracer status _in peacetime_ is, in some ways, even more impressive than what they pulled off. There's a reason she's Estelle's rival, and it's not just for the yuri potential.

Heat-resistent boots may give you some sucky stats in some aspects, but they give a massive boost to the most important stat of all: speed. It's not uncommon for people to hang onto them for a very long time. Anelace is kind of a goofy character in this game. She's very much a physical scrapper, but her stats aren't really THAT high and her battle orbment is among the worst ones of the cast. (4 lines and wind slots, which aren't very useful for a physical attacker) She does have a few nice crafts though, including a strength buff whose defense debuff can be nullified with the accessory you found in the lodge, an AT-delay move and a new non-damaging move she uses to gather her plushies together for a group hug or draw in monsters for your arts casters to nuke 'em silly with AOEs. What carries her in this game are her equipment options, or rather equipment option. That weapon you would have gotten IF you beat Richard in the duel. You can (and absolutely should) go back into the Star Door and retry. It gives you some absolutely bonkers stat boosts. And, uniquely, there's a chance very late in the game to upgrade this weapon's power and become extremely strong. So whatever you do, DON'T SELL IT AFTER GETTING IT!!! You might want to start fighting some more. Not just for the Star Door kill count, but also because while experience scales in this game, there's no modifier for sepith. And you'll need lots of sepith to get everyone decent quartz near the end of the game.

I definitely know what Nico means when he talks about Trails fans spoiling everything they possibly can, it's the only fanbase I can think of that does this to THIS much of an extent, which is funny, considering one of the big sells of the series is the over-arching plot between all the games, you'd think it would be easy to understand that lol, but a lot of the times you get the full wikipedia entries of some characters you never even heard of out of the blue.

Master kai fai is a character that you should keep in mind Nico, just so you know. The fact that this was the guy that trained Cassius of all people must mean he's some ultra badass. He's also another divine blade. Remember that Olivier mentioned back in FC that 4 divine blades exist across the continent. Cassius is one of them, and Master Ka-fai is another. Meaning you still have yet to meet the other 2 divine blades. Edit: Also, you missed some missable dialogue with Olivier and Mueller in the garden. I recommend swapping out Olivier in your party so you can see them talk to eachother as they have something interesting to say
