It is hard when your wife disrespects you. I noticed my wife getting this way after she found Tiktok. 18 years we went through thick and thin. I guess she thought the grass was greener with someone else. For me it was such a shock to see her change for the worse. I didn't know what to do. I've learned my lesson though. I won't be disrespected again, I promise. I had to take a good look at myself and be alone a few years to find myself again. I've journaled everything. It has helped, along with some counseling. I feel pretty good these days. Thank you for the video.

Ive been targeted because i am male, heterosexual, a veteran, white, and a christian. I was fired from the post office because two women said i was threatening and aggressive. This was because i disagreed with them. They lied to the police saying im mentally unstable and a threat to myself and others. This happened July 1st 2023. Im still fighting for my job back.

We had our reality changed thanks to CERN and D-wave quantum computers we've had things happening up in space and we've got problems, major problems up there that they're NOT telling us about. This is what Maya (and most women) don't seem to understand when they tell us to just stand up for ourselves and not allow ourselves to be disrespected. Women in today's world have the power to completely destroy a man's life simply because he disagreed with something she said (or found what she said disrespectful) under the guise of the man being "threatening and aggressive." Tell me, Maya, how exactly are men supposed to uphold their masculinity, and not allow a woman's disrespect, when simply disagreeing and speaking up for ourselves in today's world can completely ruin our lives?

I have 3 simple rules for not being a people pleaser - 1. Assume that a human interaction involves some degree of manipulation (the majority do); 2. Assume that a human relationship is transactional (the majority are); 3. Assume that people are looking for a 'good deal' (most benefit for least cost), and DO NOT let that come at your expense. I have 2 guidelines to help ensure I am not on the wrong side of this rule - A. If your side of the transaction is quantifiable (for example, "I spent _x_ amount of my time to save you _y_ amount of your money"), make sure you are getting something quantifiable in return. B. If your side of the transaction is not part of your daily routine, the same should be true for the other side of the transaction. These 2 guidelines are more for pattern recognition than things to be applied at the micro level. As a recovering people-pleaser myself, I find these rules and guidelines helpful to avoid slipping back.

I've learned that being confident in my masculine identity doesn't translate into women being attracted to me necessarily. A lot of women want to be with a man they can control, and that's because they are broken. So I know that I'm weaning out the women I don't want to be with and vetting them to find the one who will follow my lead.

100% on target here Maya. My ex did this to me. She baby-talked me and treated me like a small, fluffy pet. I pushed back at first, but I smoked a lot of weed back then, so eventually I just caved and played along. I'm ashamed of how I acted back then and I'll never let that happen again. She was horrendous. Lessons learned.

By that i mean with in your self what your happy to take or not take & walk away & move on to the next stage in your life. The problem is she rejected me for exactly this. I really cared about her but she didnt appreciate it and only saw me as an eveil person critizing her. I never tried to force anything on her. I only wanted to make her a better person for her own sake. I didnt know I would even fall for her. She just doesnt like someone to show her her mistakes so she dropped me.

So let's add some complexity, you are quite insightful Maya, my mother is 99 years old, she's breaking my will and morale by repetitively demanding crackers and ice cream, her mother lived to 107 and had a stroke at 101; subsequently she couldn't speak for 5 Years!!! I am trying to control my mother's sugar intake because as you know men die younger, but the women get dementia sooner. How do I stop her from breaking my will and riding me like Yoda on Luke Skywalker back with her calm and incessant repetition ? You speak of "purpose" as if it's an easy thing to find. Trust me, it isn't, and for a woman to not want to be with a man because he hasn't been able to discover or find his purpose yet is one of the main problems of modern dating. Gone are the days where a woman would stick by a man and support him as he struggled to build himself up. Nowadays, as soon as the woman sees that he would do anything for her, she loses interest and bounces on him under the guise of "oh, he has no purpose outside of me. That means he's Dangerous! I need to go and find a man who doesn't care about me and treats me like sh!t!" Honestly, Maya, I can tell that you are extremely passionate about these topics, but surely you understand that if you, yourself, have managed to find purpose in your life, that one thing that keeps you getting up in the morning no matter how much you don't want to, then you are one of the extremely rare, and few, lucky ones on this earth.

I strongly agree with you ; over here good students are told "you should be an engineer (or architect or lawyer)" but this job is not necessarily in adequation with one's inner qualities and tastes. For example being creative makes you better and motivated at arts and crafts. So purpose is also a matter of good advice and self knowledge.

Something I noticed later in life - while much of the advice I followed wound up being not beneficial (and often detrimental) to me, it was almost always beneficial to the giver of said advice. I suspect this is why most self-improvement advice for men is currently coming from women, and not men.

What I'm writing now is NOT criticism! We (You) are talking so much about masculinity and how it's ruined...etc. And when we are talking about something, it's important to know what EXACTLY we are talking about and that everybody understands it the same way. This is why I don't like when people are talking, asking and giving advices about happiness! Because happiness is not defined in psychology, so we talk about something that we don't know what exactly it is. So I'd be happy if you'd make a video about this: What is masculinity? What's the definition of masculinity. Without making this clear, all of us will measure and understand - what you say - in a different way, from our own perspective, subjectively and not all of us will be right. We need to be objective. As I understand, we are talking about a "man energy", but what is it exactly? I think, that this energy comes from a behaviour that is playing a role. And I feel like this form of masculinity became a social expectation. And in a sick SOCIETY, is it smart to follow SOCIAL expectations? Anyway...I think it's important to make it clear. What is masculinity? What are we talking about? THX

Of course, guys like myself will do we what we must (I don’t like to the term “men” especially not with all the bs expectations that come with it) but… it is unacceptable to deny the incomprehensible damage and opposition that society itself has become a bastion of the symptomatic behaviors you speak about.
