@@Frustratedartist2 The first time I watched this, I just got into middle school in 2008 (I believe this concert was in 2003?) and I sang this song at home. My grandfather asked me how I knew this old song (we're Indonesians, so it's not a commonly known song), but one day I lost this great treasure of the Weavers. Now, we have the honor of seeing it again!

@@AdityaPradiptaMeneer I was just finishing high school when this video was last available on KZbin. Managed to serve in the army and complete my MA degree by the time it was re-uploaded.

был когда-то у меня сборник их песенок с аккордами для шестиструнки. тогда я и переключился с семи на шестисрунку. Жаль только, что у меня этот сборник зачитали

This is absolutely great. What year was this? Is this the last live video recording of Eric Darling?
@dmbirkeland2 жыл бұрын
This was a tribute(Isn't this a Time) to long time manager Harold Leventhal in 2003. The 1980 reunion concert, Wasn't that a time, did not have Arlo Guthrie as an MC, nor did it have Eric darling. Lee Hayes died after the 1980 concert.

I never heard of the Weavers. But I do like their version of this song.

They probably broke up as a group before you were born ....

Had a number of top rated hits in 1950, 51 & 52. They are still a legend in the early folk scene and musical trendsetters of their day.

@Robert11xyz Had to be after WW2, Pete Seeger was in the Army during the war. I think the weavers formed in 1948 or 49.
