@@BoardGamesinaMinute will be a Kickstarter next year, there will be a new box available for Aqua Garden so it suits the other two games.

Re Iraqi game: Although it is a pasted on theme that takes place in Iraq there is Tigris and Euphrates by Reiner Knizia. A tile laying, area control game where depending on where you play your different colored leaders and tiles, you score different color points and in typical Knizia fashion, your lowest color is your score. Re QotW: I can't really think of oceanic games that I have or have played. I guess the closest would be Survive: Escape from Atlantis. I won it in a raffle and have yet to play it. I know that you're on a sinking island and have to get your meeples to safety on rowboats to sail to the outside of the board where there's stable land meanwhile trying not to get in the way of krakens, whales, and other phenomena.

I haven’t played Tigris and Euphrates! But I thinkkk Huang is like the same thing?

@@BoardGamesinaMinute I just looked at a review of it. They described it as a spiritual succussor. Huang is similar, but has more going on than T&E (expected being a game from the late 90s). It looks pretty cool.

It seems to me some of these review practices mentioned in the BGG thread and even going back to the Quack quack guy or even just a lot of board game social media is like payola which I believe is illegal now, that was basically involving music reviews and playing music on the radio. It just seems to me that a lot of the practices in board game reviews would not be allowed in music or movie or book reviews

Please delete this comment after you read it because I don’t wish to turn the comments into a political quarrel of any kind but I feel that I need to say something. Ihave been struggling to say this. I want to cause no offense but I am very bothered by your comments about the presidential candidates. I appreciate your feelings about Kamala Harris and you have every right to say what you think about her. I am confused though about your dismissing Trump as someone you know also isn’t good. Trump has shown himself to hate people of color, Muslims, and others. I know you indicated you would vote for neither but to listeners it likely seemed that you believe Trump is the better choice, even though he goes against many of the people you talk about having helped as a legal aide attorney.

@@pamd9834 I don’t know how you have come to that conclusion. In no way do I think Trump is better than Kamala. Two things can be true at once: I can find the current administration to be abhorrent, and also feel that Trump is worse, which I do. But I cannot vote for a candidate who is doing nothing to end a genocide. As a Muslim, I could never support someone like Trump. And I can’t support candidates who are pro-genocide either, which Kamala clearly is from the comments she’s made.

Maybe you are confused by this because I don’t spend much time talking about how much I don’t like Trump. I don’t spend time on him because I feel it’s pretty evident what he is. But so many liberals are supporting a candidate who is going to do nothing to stop the genocide. I for one am sick of the duopoly we have in this country. And I think I’ve mentioned it before, but I’m voting for Jill Stein.

@@BoardGamesinaMinute I have heard Kamala say things against the genocide. She speaks about a future for Palestine. I know that she is also not perfect and we have different knowledge about the situation. I never thought you were pro Trump but it wasn’t clear which was the lesser of two evils. It is good when people can talk civilly about their different opinions. Thank you for speaking up for people and for your response to my comment.
