Very well equipped for an 08. Ford didn’t start offering adaptive cruise here until around 2012! Also, don’t even get me started on left lane campers. I wish I could send people an invoice for every undertake they force me to do.

Oh, it's shockingly advanced for an '08. I think only higher end Euro cars offered this kind of stuff at the time. It certainly feels far more modern than it is. And yeah, I feel you there. The right (fast lane) here is the same. There's ALWAYS some idiot oblivious to the line of cars behind them who actually want to get where they're going in reasonable time. It's so selfish.

Not an XL . Get your car spec off Japan history check web site . You should get the Nifty upgrade to the audio system as it is a Series 3 E51 Elgrand . It is more likely an optioned up Highway Star likely the Autech and missing its identifying trim on the rear tail gate

Just changed the title, as you're now the second person to point out that it isn't actually an XL (I was going by the opinion of a few members at ElgrandOC, but even I initially suspected it was a highly-optioned Highway Star.) It's definitely been debaged, which I'm okay with. That Nifty upgrade is also something I didn't even know existed, and I'm now about to order it. Thank you for mentioning it, as I've actually needed something like this for a while now.

So it's been a while, but I ended up getting its spec sheet. It seems this is a 2008 350X (which I didn't even know was a model), specced up to an XL, which explains why it has no captain's chairs, but every other option. It had Autech badging at one point, as I saw in the auction photos, but these were removed before I purchased it (I can't find anything about X-series being Autech enhanced, so someone probably slapped that on.) Very interesting, this Elgrand world.

The Elgrand isn't that big. It's 9cm longer than my previous car, a Scenic Grand, and actually narrower. If you need to turn on cameras to get around a roundabout...🤣. The Power Mode keeps in the high revs longer so it's useful on hills, and if you want to burn a gallon fast.

I was just showing how useful the camera can be, I don't personally use it while driving lol. imo, you don't really need to rev much higher than 3k to get moving in these, so I find power mode to be more of a 'use more fuel but not get anywhere any faster' switch. End of the day, these are slow vehicles (although quick for a van.)

Doesn't look like your seats are leather and your second row seats aren't captain seats so definitely not an XL.

The seat material was selected by the original buyer according to the documents given to me by the importer. It has all other options you'd expect from an XL. Do you know what model it might be if it isn't one? I've been told by quite a few people over at ElgrandOC that it certainly seems to be an XL. EDIT: You're right, not captain's seats. They swivel to face the rear, though. No clue if that was a standard thing. I'm not sure what this thing is, I'm just going by what I've been told.

So I only know a lot about the XL as that's what I was researching to buy. All XL's have the captain's chair and only came in tan leather. No other grade was able to get captain's chairs. As for the swivel most of them did it besides the base grade. Not sure what your model is but you could spec them pretty much to XL level so it's a pickle to figure out.
