You're kinda wrong about the Nintendo E reader, it was how you obtained the Eon ticket in Ruby and Sapphire but also how you got essentially a whole extra world of New content in Mario brothers 3 advance

7:29 A lot of limitations with the Virtual Boy including the red color palette weren't technological limitations. It was planned to be a lot more advanced, and likely would have been an amazing console, but there was a lot of fear mongering at the time regarding the device, people falsely claiming that it was going to hurt or even kill people to have an electronic device like that strapped to your head, so they made it on a stand and heavily underpowered it to try and ease people's fears, which just kind of made it useless.

The funny thing is that you can use the DK Bongos out of any game that supports GC controllers. (Gameplay may vary) As far as I know there is this Japanese Style Drum Rhythm series on the switch where you can still use them.

Honestly I love that Nintendo does adventurous stuff with their products.. if it wasn’t for the switch I doubt we would have the steam deck or anything like that. I mean the entire N64 controller was designed just to play Mario 64 the launch game 😂😂
