don’t trick yourself into believing that the conversations between the two of them have gone completely away. most of the time, the calls are chosen because they know it will lead to an entertaining conversation or story. sometimes, they end up going on unrelated tangents after hearing the voicemail. the voicemails are pretty much just prompts to get the conversations that we all love flowing

@lauralanthalasa7 Their questions are less than 1 minute phone calls. Rhett and Link are answering the questions and going off on side tangents for 15 minutes or more and they are being funny. It's a different dynamic; Not quite the same as when they used to have guests on the podcast, but it allows community interaction. They can only talk about SO much. You know everything about their lives already. This is no different than putting out a Q&A prompt on social media and answering select questions. Which they have done hundreds of times already on this show. You're literally angry because you have to listen to a fan read the question for less than a minute, than hear R, L, or Jenna read it for less than a minute. Seems silly. BYMB.

The solution to the sea turtle dilemma is to just start talking about something you actually DO like around your mother in law. Let's say you like puzzles. Talk about puzzles at any opportunity. Bring them up in conversation. Show her pictures of your finished puzzles. Talk about your favorite types of puzzles and tell your husband to mention it too. Just solidify in her mind that you have a NEW interest. She'll never need to know you don't like sea turtles.

I’m a Neopagan witch, I use tarot and oracle cards regularly in my spiritual practice, and have for about 4 years now. Divination is one of my favorite forms of magick. And I don’t know how to explain it, or what exactly I’m connecting to, but I’m 100% connecting when I do readings. To some other intelligence that is there to act as a beautiful mirror for me. I’ve had crazy multilayered synchronicities, and have lived through too many of those to believe in coincidence. And I’m not a reader for others professionally, but I have read family, friends, acquaintances, and strangers before. And it has always been so accurate. I’m always as shocked as they are lmao. I’m never using my brain/logic/analytical skills. I’m letting the cards fall out, taking each general card meaning, and trusting intuitively the story that’s up folding in front of me and the hits I’m getting. I never know if what was pulled or what I’m saying is going to resonate - and somehow it always does. And most of my readings I do for myself, but I’ve also received one or two readings from others that have also struck a chord. And I will say - sometimes I understand the card at the time I pull it, other times it’s more of a warning or reference for the future that only makes sense later on after the related events unfold, and then if blows my mind lol. And other times I’m supposed to understand it but I’m not making the connection I’m meant to, and in that case I keep pulling the card until it clicks, then it stops showing up until it’s needed again lol. And each deck also has its own unique personality and way it prefers to communicate. Different intentions in how they want to be of service to you, different tones and preferences of how to get their messages across (I have one deck in particular that’s extremely blunt lol). But y’all I’m just so in tune at this point in my journey and have experienced so much beyond explanation that even if I didn’t want to believe in anything spiritual, I wouldn’t have a choice lol. How others experience it doesn’t really phase me one way or the other, because the experience of others doesn’t threaten my own unique relationship with it of course lol. I’m secure in that. 😂

Perfered it before when there were no voicemails. There could even be a happy medium where we get like 30 minutes of convo, and if they run out of things to say, go to a voicemail or 2. The entire pod being a voicemail react is getting old extremely fast. If you wanted to do that, just make it live call ins so you can actually interact with fans not just hear a recording of them then let then see or hear a recording you made back. You dont need to do the whole thing live so you can still edit it if something inappropriate happens but live for the caller & the boys.

These voicemail episodes are really hard to listen and the biggest reason is that the questions are just not it. Too many turtles? Just talk to your in law that you don't really like sea turtles. And the guys trying their hardest to not offend and not to show irritation or boredom are not helping here...

They did have it for a reason -- they were of the age where it's recommended by their medical system as a screening tool. But I do get your point about going easy on the food if someone is having it due to symptoms rather than as a screening test! (Example: eating a big plate of pasta, and finding out afterwards that the colonoscopy found celiac.)
