Yes to Rhett’s loose bowels comment! The most nervous Ive ever been was knowing I had to tell my son he has a brain tumor. I lost ten pounds in two weeks! He took it like a champ, though, and he will probably be ok! Yay!

I just wanna say that the ending of this Biscuit really really spoke to me. Ive spent the last 6 or so years of my life avoiding anything that makes me anxious or scared but it made a lot of sense when Rhett said you can miss out on a lot of opportunities AND growth by doing that. I’m still 21 so I have a lot of growing to do so I will try and take that advice and hopefully turn some things around for myself ✌️ Thanks for always being open and honest Rhett and Link. You’ve had an inconceivably positive impact on my life as I’ve followed y’all through the years. Stay mythical, everyone!

One of my favorite “sayings” is that fear is a liar. And I try to think about why I’m feeling scared of whatever it is.
@ethang67357 ай бұрын
I try to follow the "say yes to everything" rule, because otherwise i would just be a shut in. Obviously its not literal, but if someone asks me to be a speaker at, say an EMS conference (im an emt of 12 years) i just say yes. Not "let me think about it and get back to you", because then ill get in my head and decline the opportunity. Same goes for leading drills at the firehouse, or MC'ing a banquet. I just say yes if i know im available and then it gets me in gear to prepare. The only downside is there are people who will try to take advantage of you, knowing your the "yes man", but that becomes very obvious very quickly. Bottom line, if someone asks u to do something your not comfortable with but very capable of, and its safe and reasonable of course, just say yes Edit: oh and one more thing, once you do it a few times, not only is it easier, but people will also see you as the social guy, not the scared nervous guy. The reason i bring that up is that was one of my big fears. On the inside i WAS the scared nervous guy. But because i was prepared, it came off as the calm socially adept guy

@sonjablue98507 ай бұрын
only recently finding this out....I've had many progressively worsening chronic issues since pregnancy of last child....20 years ago. When I bring up the issues with stress incontinence...I have always been told to "just do Keagels". Which never has done anything for me. (long story short I'm only recently getting proof that it's not in my head, not my lifestyle, but in fact autoimmune issues all this time....) But even g.i. isn't concerned about urine leakage....didn't even do a urine test? I don't think it is soo much embarrassing...it's more that medical professionals don't know or it's uncomfortable for them it seems.

Link saying that he was in ignorance resonates with me. I need to be less informed about certain things in order to deal with living due to my panic and agoraphobia. Rhett saying, "I trust my future self" is really powerful. I'm a Christian so I rely on God for everything. Sometimes I forget that I have to put in the work because it's so painful.

I used to have a dream periodically that I didn't have enough credits to graduate high school. Part of it might have stemmed from me taking 3 college courses in my senior year of HS. The credits hadn't transferred by the time I graduated, so I was the only person who didn't actually get my diploma at graduation. The dreams went on for years though.

If you really truly trust yourself, Rhett's method works to cope with anxiety. I am always stressed tf out when I need to talk to a bunch of people or need to meet a deadline. As soon as I have done everything I could do for the day, I literally tell myself "Well thats it, good luck with tomorrow bro." Then I chill or do something I want to do before going to bed.😂😂😂

This is the only podcast I found where the audio processing is not extreme. Most podcasts have that V shaped EQ and use heavy compression on voices which makes listening tiring after a while... and it's kind of the end goal of any long podcast to be listened for long sessions.
