My father took me to a stock car race at Weisglass Stadium. It was sometime in the early 60’s.

The image of the milkman for Weisglass holding the crate of milk in front of Edwin Markham Junior High School is my Dad holding my brother's hand and I am next to my brother. (approx 2:49 minutes on the video) .I believe it may have been the Grand Opening of the Junior High School...Thanks for the memories!

Correction: The new Edwin Markham Junior High was used as a backdrop for an advertisement touting "Weissglass Dairy Growing with Staten Island" in an advertisement that appeared in the Staten Island Advance.

I remember Trunz Meats. I sold their hot dogs as a kid at Shea stadium in the late 6os and early 70s. They came in nets and were boiled. That was a quality meat! I also recall Wetsons and I lived near Food Fair on Kissena Blvd in Queens. Old times long ago.

Yes! All of those places. Grew up in Huguenot. Mom took us on the train to Great Kills to go to Trunzs butcher. Always got a free slice of balony. How about Henneys Steak House?
