The WELCOME P-SERLES P30 Pro is another Huawei P30 Pro Clone that's slightly better than the rest

Greetings and welcome to another Cheapo Phone Review. Could be iWish because I bought this off eBay but it's fine to just call it as it is.
So this was found on a random browse through eBay and I thought "oh that would be interesting to review" but I didn't quite commit to buying it so I saved it in my watchlist. A day later the seller sent me an offer of 20% off (was $50 now $40) so I figured I'd accept it and show you all this device.
It stuck out to me because it's a "P-SERLES". I've looked at the X-SERLES Phone before but P-SERLES seems exciting!
If it has that branding on it then it is DEFINITELY a WELCOME and that is what we want to see.
Good to finally be back looking at a proper WELCOME device, I feel it has been a while and I hope you all enjoy this one :)

Fun video, it was fun counting the "Welcome" but also the "P Serles" which I found quite amusing. Lol 😂 The camera on one setting was surprisingly good. The photos had a great colour depth for my colourblind eyes. Even the video had some depth. Ripley looked magnificent and Dermot & Dervla say hello. We were all curled up in bed keeping warm. Lol 😊

In mid 2023, I got a second hand legit P30 lite with a broken backside for 30 euros. Awesome phone once you downgrade to EMUI 10 and disable the RAM management thing that refreshes apps. It is the last Huawei P phone that supports google playstore.

I decided to run a P40 as my daily driver back in 2023 for about 6 months, and honestly if it had google services support, or at least an open bootloader, it would've been one of the best phones I had in years. Even without google stuff it was a great experience if you knew how and where to get apps - only apps that I couldn't get fully working were Discord (they use a google-bound notification service instead of an Android one) and Pokemon GO (Very closely tied to google maps services, and heavily DRMd - had to use a cracked app with a bunch of cheats added lol)

It's bad . No matter what . All XIAOMI/HUAWAI phones I had as of now (mi9 / p8lite/p20 lite /p20 ) Got after 2 years massive issues . Burn in , really slow , and even after reset storage seems full to a certain extend also it's completely empty (except system files) That comes from low quality NAND storage it seems which breaks after a while. Plus software is becoming buggy a.f.

I think I know why the MT6580 was performing slightly better in this phone: the DDR3 RAM. A lot of MT65xx series phones often have slower DDR2.

Tip update KZbin via apk and if it says that device is not supported turn off WiFi and mobile data then go to settings and erase KZbin app data then open KZbin and turn on WiFi

i can confirm that lollipop is slowly dying, i have an asus phone that now says to me upgrades to the installed apps but when i click on the notification, the play store says there's nothing to upgrade (so i think that slowly the play store will not work either). for youtube, it's a while now that i cannot use it in app, it says that the app it's not supported anymore (so i use it on the browser). it's honestly sad to me, i love this phone so much :( as for this one it wasn't crappy camera speaking (i've seen worse from welcome devices) but overall that mighty, immortal 6580 is pretty crappy so, 5/10. ps: i want to listen to your songs so bad, i really like those kind of songs

Think a used electronics store near me might be selling some Huawei knock-offs, since a) the listing was just "P-something", instead of "Huawei P-something"; b) it was too cheap for a used phone; c) the guy was claiming it was made in 2023 while the model it was based on came out somewhere between 20-22, don't remember exactly; d) it has an android boot-up logo I have not seen since at least Android 5. Like, even my dad, who's somehow less tech literate that I am, clocked that it was weird. How do these people stay in bussiness? 😂

If the phone says it has 4G (in sim connection settings) then it should have it. I got caught with that. My Samsung Galaxy S4 has 4G but my sim is about 15 years old so it doesn't. To get 4G you need a 4G-compatible phone AND 4G-compatible sim. I got a slightly newer Samsung Galaxy S7 off a relative then went to Vodafone and got an updated new smaller sim and it works fine on 4G now.

This is because they fake 4G on these devices. It may say 4G in settings but when you scan for networks it will only pick up 3G. I later change the specs to the true 3G signal. Plus the SoC in this is only 3G capable. The sim card also used in this is one that is also capable of 5G networks. I've tested it in several devices. It's just these cheapo devices doing their thing :)
