Yeah, problem is the Hollywood types that make these shows would never allow Democrats to be portrayed as anything other than flawless heroes, and they'd never allow Republicans to be portrayed as anything other than literal mustache-twirling villains tying fair maidens to train tracks. Sorkin's work likely wouldn't get done today in this fashion, because TWW was willing to show that for all the flaws in the American political system, both sides were right and both sides were wrong.

This was by far the best scripted, best performed television show I have ever watched. This show made sense of a world gone mad, I wish that reality could be as good or better than the fantastical realm of Television. Then 'We the People.' could count on Infrastructure being redone, Medicare for all passing both House and Senate, and last but not least, We the People being heard at every level of government from state House to the Presidency, not like it is today.
