I really liked Jalen green when he was coming out in the 2021 draft he got all the potential to be the next star 2 guard but the dude still has the shot selection of a middle schooler playing NBA 2k my career. He settles way too much
@olaminabryan8026Ай бұрын
Been 4 years with literally one 13 game stretch where he was actually good its time to stop talking about potential and start speaking the truth. He's a bench peice not a starting nba sg. With his shot selection and efficiency and complete lack of defense he has NO reason to be starting on a nba team only reason he's starting is cuz he has no real replacement at sg for his team. He has yet to be humbled by his team cuz he shoots all these shit shots and gets away with it
@n26p79Ай бұрын
@@olaminabryan8026i can’t disagree with that, i was huge on jalen green especially in his rookie season. These 3 seasons since his first has been full of inconsistencies and i haven’t seen any improvement, he’s been working on his mediocre defense instead of his offense which doesn’t make sense because that’s the side he’s gifted at.

He looks good sometimes but he likes jumpshots WAY too much. Kinda like Andrew Wiggins 2.0

I actually think his shot selection is good like he has the moves to get open and there generally good looks I think the problem is more he just keeps pressing when the shot doesn’t fall

Preface: Yes, I'm a Warriors fan. But I've been a fan since the Don Nelson days (the first round). So, I was here through things like Spree choking out PJ, Manute shooting 3s, drafting Todd Fuller, etc etc. Holy *&^# I'm old... anyhow. Draymond is... he's a hard player to like a lot of the time. I think there's more than a few shades of Laimbeer in the way people look at him. If he's on your team, he's doing the blah blah blah, if he's not on your team why is he allowed onto the court still? Only a lot of us are also tired of the schtick. However. When talking about the DPOY conversation, and this was touched on briefly, when he's actually just playing basketball out there, he truly *anchors* the defense. A lot of guys are great individual defenders. Rim-protectors that you can funnel your man to knowing they will alter a shot potentially. Others are great on-ball defenders, doggedly chasing down their guy and making his life miserable. Draymond is a solid, definitely above-average individual defender who can defend 1-5 to one degree or another, and that alone would possibly have him sniffing the conversation. Just watch how many times he's moving to defend or alter his man's move before the guy he's guarding has actually even made and committed to the move. What makes him stand out though is that he makes the *Team* better defensively. Not just by being out there and playing good defense like a traditional DPOY, but he's acting almost as a second defensive coach on the floor: moving guys around, switching people and calling adjustments to hinder the flow of what the other team is trying to do. The Warriors defensive numbers are not good because "1 player has great def stats and everybody else is solid-okay", their numbers are good because when he's out there and locked in he's lifting the floor defensively by helping make everybody else a better defender. That, I think, is why it's not completely pants-on-head crazy to have him in the conversation. Even though Wemby is going to win it, because he's a better *individual* defender. And it will be a solid, deserving win if he does.

I feel like if Jalen green just attacks the rim way more and stops taking crazy contested jumpers he could play at a all star level consistently. The kids one of greatest athletes I’ve ever seen he could be like Ja if he just attacked the basket

The Houston rockets take is quite far off, amen and fair leading the 2nd unit is working unless we see some injuries that won’t change, Houston just signed JG to a pretty big extension, 0% chance they give up on him as a starter till at the earliest next season, JG and Fred don’t work well together unless one of them goes off, JG has also stepped up on defence which will keep him in imes good books got now

Sorry man but as a fan I dont like these videos, I dont think they provide the level of in depth analysis i want out of ur channel and I know not everything has to be super in depth deep dives but tbh this reminds of like inside the NBA which is ironic cuz u hate them or more like TD3 which is fine but the biggest problem is that u upload a ton to ur second channel and not ur first channel now. I mean Ik ur working on something but having these podcast clips and uploading like daily to the second channel and not for like months on first one just seems ur kinda ignoring Rusty Buckets and as a fan I came for the first channel, and second channel is extra stuff for even bigger fans. Its no so much the podcast stuff even I just think ur second channel is focused on more than first one.
