I have naturally curly hair and I sometimes spray my hair with conditioner and water mixed together and then use coconut oil. I only use a bit cuz you don’t want it too greasy. My hair may not look thin but really it is and I found the coconut oil has thickened my hair dramatically and the end result looks exactly the same as this videos :)

It honestly depends on how much product you use and how often you rinse your hair. When I use a lot of product and don't rinse my hair out after, normally I get bad buildup. It all depends on you! :)
