The White Light Oracle (or: Alana Fairchild’s decks and how I use them) honest opinion alert!

Thanks so much for this video. I have been to-ing & fro-ing about this deck for almost a year. Like you - I love the art work, but the card titles give jarring WTF moments. I do not own any Alana Fairchild decks. Even though I’m a fan in -depth guide books, I’m not sure her writing style and views will gel. But just like you, I keep thinking I would still use those cards as decoration. Your detailed analysis of your issues with this style of deck and your personal approach to oracle have been extremely useful. I may take the plunge into Alana-Fairchild-world with this deck and see how I feel.

I really wanted to pay attention to the images on the cards, but my eyes kept wandering towards the Maneki Neko next to the bookshelf, waving his little white paw at me :P Good thing you showed them all at the end!

Thanks so much for taking your time to make this video. It’s a very extensive review. Ok. As much as I do love Fairchilds work. Like you, I kind of feel forced to read the guidebook to be able to work with it effectively. I honestly don’t know why these authors/creators have to make something as simple as an oracle deck. So difficult. And near on impossible to work with. Thanks for the review Levi you’ve made my mind up for me!

Your honesty is really refreshing. Hearing what kind of decks you prefer and how you first reacted to the white light oracle deck helped frame my perspective on how I approach my own readings and whether or not I want to jump in on this one. Even though my reading style is different from yours, (drawing more from the visual than the words) watching this really helped. Thanks for the video and I'll check out more of your stuff. :)

Listened to your video and thank you for posting it. I get what you mean about wanting to receive guidance of your own vs. using someone else's. I watched your video because while I know what tarot cards, readings are, I'm not actually familiar with the process of working with them, doing readings, etc. The Mother Mary deck and guidebook were recommended though, so I thought I'd look into the product. I think Alana's products may be for rank beginners like me, who have little to no knowledge of how to use them, rather than for the advanced people like you. You helped me understand what I would be getting if I bought the recommended deck and book. Thanks again.

I find these kind of oracle cards pretty useful to work with yourself and understand your soul journey. I was searching for a review like this to understand better what kind of deck is this white light, and see it beyond the general hype of people. One of the first decks I purchased was the starseed oracle by rebecca campbell and I would never use that for anybody else. I know it's just for myself and it calls me whenever I feel like being guided by the universe.

I’m from Portugal and I took a Tarot course and learned with the marseille deck and it didn’t resonated with me too. Now I’m learning with the RWS because I always felt drawn to it and I’m loving it. But I feel that is like you say, you have to be aligned and the time have to be the right timing! Much love 💜

Thanks for this review! I actually got a copy of this deck from a witchy subscription box and really tried my best to read the cards intuitively, but I ended up reseling it after two days. I tried reading the guidebook, but the words seem too flowery and highfalutin, under the guise of insightful, woke, downloads from the divine, which seem questionable to me tbh (I'm a Taurus moon too so I get your point being direct 😅). Anyway, thanks again for making this review. 👍

Thanks for your honest review. I can't stand that deck, I love some other oracles of her, but this one is definitely a miss to me. The art is beautiful, but I can't get any message from it, making it useless (at least to me, imho, etc) Some of the meanings are very similar, kinda gives me a headache.

They are frequencies of sound that you can look up on youtube and listen to if you want.
